Looking for a player! (DnD5e Rules)

Our group has moved online due to recent events. We aim to have a session for about 2 hours or so on Thursdays. I have started a new adventure and I am seeking a fourth player if interested. Our current adventure includes a lot of homebrew and is light hearted in nature. We have&nbsp;anthropomorphic themes for&nbsp;the player characters that are exploring a world populated by your typical fantasy races. I'm a relatively new DM and enjoy using a map style gameplay. If interested, I'd be happy to create a custom token, maps are created using DPS. We can help you generate a character too and newer players are welcome. We use Discord to chat and cam isn't required. We have some interesting personalities in our group and a fourth would be fun to balance it all out. So far we have a Rogue, Paladin and Wizard. I'm interested, just a few questions. In regards to homebrew and anthropomorphic themes, does that mean custom races? Any other major homebrew rules players should be aware of? Also, what level would you start at? I know you said you started a new adventure, but you also mention an existing group moving online. Any source books you don't allow? (like Xanathar's, Wildemount and so on) Sorry for all the questions, but I DM myself and find that giving as much information up front about how the game is run tends to weed out people who join just for the sake of finding an open game then bail later. If I did end up playing, I'd probably go with a Druid to add some more healing/divine magic to the group.

Well, I'm not ruling out any rule books. Pretty much what I put forth to my players is pick an animal. They are put into four groups: Birds, furry things, aquatic and reptiles. We have a discussions about racials and take existing abilities and tune them to the theme of their character. They are starting at level 3. We have ran a quick one shot to start off. It's not an intense game and we are looking more for LOLs than being hardcore. The Rogue is based on a Honey Badger, the Wizard is a Snow Owl where we have reworked the spells to frost element and the Paladin is a St Bernard about a forge god. We are mostly focused on fair rolls to determine outcomes and the story is written as choices are made. Roleplay is highly encouraged. Two of the players are pretty new to the game in general. I love creativity and building the story as it goes. I just like to make a frame and let the players drive the story because, roads? Who needs roads?&nbsp;&nbsp;

For anyone interested in the plot idea, I'm just building on a premise where there are four outerlands. A forest filled with furry races, the mountains to the north filled with birdfolk, a sea to the south with aquatic creatures and a desert to the east with reptiles. The campaign lightly introduces everyone to a simple start and I gave everyone a reason to be interested. They have left their homelands to a central country that is filled with Dwarfs, Elves, Humans and Halflings. They are somewhat underfoot of the typical fantasy tropes.&nbsp;

Sense of humor and love of discussion need apply! We try to avoid it being a mess. Rolls are important for outcomes. I'm experimenting with having seen DM rolls to keep things honest. It worked out pretty well in our first one shot.&nbsp;

Resting Screen to look at character sheets and talk about events. Really into 2 Min Table graphics. Def a light hearted adventure.&nbsp;

Also some info on the party we have, my brother, my best friend since HS (Who knows EVERYTHING to the point where we argue sometimes (Sorry but, prob entertaining to others) and one of the best coworkers I ever had. Originally I saved the slot for my friend from HS GF. Although she has played with us live several times, she didn't like the online version. I'm just looking for some counter balance, another perspective.&nbsp;&nbsp;
