Add common material to all my games in the same campaign: Module or Compendium

I´m DMing a campaign in Roll20 and a lot of information is necessary for the players as long as they travel and advance in the world. A respected bard or magician needs to know were they are, when they are and where to go. For this I´m adding very common information about local calendar, maps, characters, places, etc so we dont need to roll WIS checks all the time (or even interrupt the game) and also for the players to know more about the campaign. What do you think about to add this as resource material and how to add it: as a module (like a campaign base adventure) or a compendium (since I have a PDF about it)?

I think Handouts work fine for this sort of thing.  How long is the pdf?  You can make a master handout like an index that links every other one.  Then they really only need to remember where the index is to have immediate access to all of the information. Here's an example: To link handouts, simply put the name of the handout that you want to link to in brackets [like this].

Those links can also be put into a  Chat Menu , if you prefer. Right click on the links in that index handout to get the URLs and place them into a roll template in the format [Title](url). They'll open up automatically in-game.

Amazing tips! Didn´t know that I could link handouts like Wikipedia. But I can share this handout to other open games?

The handout should be visible to anyone who has membership in the game. There may be some small issues with graphic linking within the journal itself. I'd recommend testing with a  Dummy Account . You can also make links to other web pages, such as a Google Doc. They will open in another window, and the user must click away a warning, but they will work just fine.
