5E Looking for DM for one-shot

I'm looking for an experienced DM with a fun relaxed gameplay style to run a one shot for a group as a birthday gift since we are social distancing responsibly. Looking to do a game around April 23 but could be flexible. I'm happy to pay qualified DMs, just let me know your prices! Just a little about us: My husband and I have been playing DND 5e together for around 4 years, but he's been playing much longer. We are enjoy a level of optimizing characters but are very laid back and are in it for the role play and story more than anything. We call ourselves the "gateway couple" because we have introduced D&D to so many of our friends and family. I have been official DM for the University of Pretoria for about 3 years now.  A bit about me: My DMing style is more focused on story and characters then very hard mechanics and trying to immerse my player into the world they are a part of. I have always enjoyed studying the lore of the real world or fantasy setting. Due to my obsessive nature, I tend to become well verse to point of madness over the small details of the world. Thanks so much for your quick replies!  We are in the central standard timezone There would be 4 players total, all in their 30s.  We don't have an existing adventure in mind, but would want to avoid anything from Curse of Strahd or Storm King's Thunder since we are running or will run those ourselves. As far as tier of play, do you mean character level? Maybe 4th-5th level characters if that works for the one shot.  I'm going to check out ya'lls profiles and get back to you soon, thanks again!

First and foremost, a pre-emptive happy birthday to the lucky individual =) Due to like many, currently being stuck in quarantine, I have some time free on the 23rd and came across this browsing through the forums. Started playing D&D about 3 years ago and started DMing 1 year into it. Currently I run two campaigns on both a Wednesday and Friday evening, which leaves that Thursday wide open ;) I've done quite a bit of different styles of DMing but my favorite and go-to style for a fun time is very akin to a pub night out with friends, able to have some laughs and jokes while still keeping the night's focus on D&D and ensuring that having fun is placed above all. Entertainment and pacing takes priority over following rules to the letter and including too much math. Fortunately I have alot of experience with the advanced technical side of roll20 and so setting up characters, dynamic lighting and automating processes so we can focus on the rolls, roleplay and movie-like combat is all part of the package. If you are looking for more of a birthday bash based on Dungeons & Dragons, I think I can help give you and the group a night you won't forget anytime soon. A couple of questions for myself if you would be interested: -What time were you looking at starting and finishing? -Are you just after the one session, or are you looking for a few? -What kind of adventure are you looking for? Official Modules only? Would you like a standard D&D adventure with a few twists? Would you like a set of challenges, mini games and puzzles to overcome with each other as a team? (or maybe against each other if you are so inclined and cunning enough >:D ) I usually charge a flat around 5-10 for every 3 hour session, composed of a £5 base charge per player with additional tipping optional and juuust a little encouraged ;)  I am confident enough in my ability to provide a great time for all that I leave it to my players to decide how much the session was worth to them, and for that to be reflected in the payment received. Would a 12 noon start for a 3 hour session on the 23rd work, I can give you a One Shot Game with pre made characters that will be fully automated so you can jump right in and play. It will provide you with a great time. I DO NOT charge for my games, but the quality will be just as good as any paid game. I do this to bring in more people into the hobby. I have been running D&D games for the last 45 years and have run over 100 successful One Shot Games here on Roll20.
