Many problems since the recent update

Since the recent update to allow for dynamic lighting, I've been having many problems.  Fortunately, I'm only doing testing/development and no game (next game is in a few days).  However, the biggest problem I'm seeing is black screens.  As a gm, I periodically see only a black screen when switching to a new map and nothing I do seems to fix that.  I also have a test game with one "player" (myself using another id) and logged into the test game as that player, I see nothing but a black screen where there should be a map.  This is on a test game where the only thing I did was create a game (using the Tomb of Annihilation module which is what I'm currently running) and loading in the one player character and putting that character on a map.  There are no API scripts loaded into this game. The other big issue I'm having is that one I turn on Dynamic Lighting for a page, I can't go back.  Turning it off again breaks things and all parts of the maps become visible.   The control-L trick used in the legacy dynamic lighting does absolutely nothing in the new version.  I don't know if that's intended or not but, once I try to go back to the legacy dynamic lighting, it ceases to work under the legacy dynamic lighting. My biggest complaint right now is the black screens.  There is no way I can run a game if my players are only going to see black screens.

Things to check for "Black Screen": Are you using regular Fog of War? If so, have you cleared any areas? Have you verified that tokens have sight? Is there a light source?
On at least some of the pages that are coming up black, fog of war, dynamic lighting, etc. are all turned off.  On the other pages, they were using dynamic lighting, and the token I was using as a test has sight, and set to simulate darkvision.  Furthermore, none of the pages had any problems loading or displaying before the recent updates.  In some cases, exiting the game and re-entering fixed the problem, at least as a gm.  For the player test, nothing worked.  And, yes, the player had edit ability over the token, and, as I said, the token has sight and darkvision so something should have been visible.
After some experimentation, it looks like things are a bit flaky.  I started by resetting all of the values one by one - changing the vision parameters, changing the link from the token to the character, changing legacy dynamic lighting on, then off, changing the new dynamic lighting on, then off, etc. and just toggling everything that seemed to be a possible reason.  Sometimes, the map was viewable in the player view, sometimes it wasn't, and there didn't seem to be any consistency.  For example, I have legacy dynamic lighting on, and the player had a black screen.  I turned it off making the page totally visible, and the player could see the whole page.  Then I turned legacy dynamic lighting on again, and the player saw what the player should have seen - only that part of the screen viewable with darkvision.  Then the player exited the game, and restarted... and couldn't see anything.  So I turned legacy dynamic lighting off again, which should have made the whole page visible again... but the player only saw the token and the rest was black.  Playing around with it some more, changing parameters, trying the new dynamic lighting, I finally got it to work, again, and again, after exiting and restarting, the screen was black again.  There doesn't seem to be any one thing that is causing this, nor does there seem to be any consistency.  And whether it was legacy dynamic lighting or the new dynamic lighting, there were still problems. I also can't figure out how to do dim lighting with the new system.  That is to say, in the legacy system, I could set a radius of light and a distance at which dim light sets in and the map would show bright light for a distance and dim light for the rest.  I don't see anything similar in the new dynamic lighting and it's just all bright light.

That would be because the dim light isn't implemented in the new system yet.  It is even listed on the second post (list of Known Issues) in the bug report thread.

Oh, I must have missed that.  Thanks.  Although I did see some posts from people in one of the threads who were using the new system where they had photos posted showing dim light working in the new system but not working the way it did in the old system.  So, seeing those posts didn't clue me in that it wasn't implemented yet.
