Token won't save changes

So I created a couple of NPCs and assigned them to their associated tokens, but now none of the changes to their settings are saving. Everything from "Show Nameplates" to token "Represents Character" selections are not saving. I can't seem to have any of the changes I make stay with the token stay with it. Maybe I am making a mistake but I used to be able to make a change then I would be able to see the changes after I "dragged and dropped" the token from the Journal.

When you hit "edit" on the character sheet and save the default token, it saves that instance of the token with all settings (vision, name label, bars, etc.) that are active at that exact moment.  Any changes you make to a token after that only apply to the "instance" of the token you are messing with.  When you delete it or go to another map and drag out another token for that sheet, the "default" version of the token is what is created.  Make sure you have the token completely set up as you desire before setting it as the default on the character sheet.  Then any changes you make later will just be custom changes for a specific map, situation, or spell effect.
