Token Cut and Paste Fails

I've seen where this has come up multiple times over the years, but never a solution or workaround. I need to copy character tokens from one map to another. Usually a cntl-c/cntl-v does the trick. But start a few hours ago I'm seeing this behavior:  1. Copy a character token (this character is NOT in the journal, btw, just a token controlled by a player) using cntl-c or the right-click pop up menu. 2. Paste the toke to a map - even the same map the token was on before - using cntl-v or the the pop up menu. 3. Nothing happens. The icon does not show up when pasted. Some objects and tokens DO paste OK, and some do not, even when on the same map. Help appreciated so I won't have to cancel tonight's game!

Token copying is very spotty. I usually select the token(s) and press Ctrl-C-C-C-C-C just to make sure it "takes".

Well, I resolved it. What worked for me was to go into game settings and clear the defaults for the bar values on tokens. When I reentered the game, all the tokens that I'd attempted to paste previously showed up! I don't know why or if that was related for sure, but I'm back up and running. - JL
