Magic Item Prices and Availability

For this campaign, magic items are fairly common. As a general rule, if you would like to buy a magic item, you can find them as follows: Common - 150 gp - any town large enough to have a dealer in antiques/weapons/etc Uncommon - 750 gp - large cities (i.e. Waterdeep, Neverwinter) Rare - 7500 gp - private collectors or schools of magic, which will only deal with those they know Very Rare - 75000 gp - never publicly available, only made available by DM List of items: https://dnd5e.info/magic-items/magic-items-by-rarity/ If you would like to sell an item, you can get 2/3 of its value from the same sources. However, they often will be willing to trade items of similar rarity one-for-one.

I was browsing the D&D wiki and found this. I am presently wondering how much trouble it would be to get one. Here's the link: https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Sea_Dog_(5e_Equipment) Possibly without the never-ending supply thing.

Well, it's legendary, so it certainly wouldn't be easy! As a general rule, anything legendary would only exist as part of an adventure, probably a major reward or quest objective. I'd suggest you look for items that are at most rare. Uncommons you might find in the near future, rares would take a while to search for. Also, the world we're in doesn't have firearms, so that one specifically wouldn't exist anyway.
