[LFG] [5e] [EST] New to roll20 - please help

Not new to 5e, but definitely new to roll20 outside of a few player basics videos on youtube. I've been reaching out to a few through PM or application post to join but no responses yet. Anybody out there super chill with letting new people in so we can learn? I get that we're a burden at first but everybody is new at something once. I'm EST and pretty much any evening/night would work well for me to play, and could play weekly or biweekly. I have discord, though I have not used it much and certainly not for anything like this. I've only ever played and DM'd irl. I'm literally willing to learn how to do anything to get to play. Please.

Awesome, thanks for the response. I believe I actually applied to the Monday game you posted, Streets Unseen. The Monday group would work better for me. How do I join it, and is there anything I need other than roll20?

The next game will be 4/27.  If you applied that is all you need to do.  We will use roll 10 and either discord or zoom. To give you little background, the group acted as caravan guards from a rundown crime ridden town called Mara thru the Greenwold Forest to the city of Grayhaven.  The party met a gnome scholar who hired them to protect him in the city of Greenwold.  He is meeting a friend who is also a scholar to try to find an ancient artifact, but other parties are also looking for the artifact to use it for less noble purposes.

Also the players are level 2 now

I have a few questions: -Should I create my character beforehand or will I be doing that once we meet 4/27? And should I do that on paper to keep for myself, or through this charactermancer system? I'm not quite sure how that works yet since this is my first joined game. -Would I be joining at 2nd level to remain even with the group, or starting fresh at level 1?

You would start at 2nd level.  I would make your character on paper.  Then you can stop there and manually roll dice, or you can enter all your player info into the in game sheet so that you can make the rolls online.  Please have your character ready before the game.
