[LFP][D&D 5E][7:00 PM SAT EST] The Eternal Providence

In this game, you will be discovering the reasons behind the current society's erosion, and bringing to rest the issues of your past. Do this in whatever way you see fit, and receive whatever results may ensue. This game has been going on for over five months now, and we are on session 22. Recently, a player has been unable to attend the sessions, so we are looking for someone to fill that space. Right now, the players have been labeled as "heroes," destined to defeat the seven cults of Cyric. But is this even a title they want? A few things: It is absolutely imperative that you can come during this time. We've unfortunately had a lot of bad luck with players not coming to games  The campaign is set in a homebrew setting, designed to be as open of a world as possible The game runs weekly, at the time in the description  We play mostly on discord (using discord's VC), with combat and rolls happening on Roll20 You would be starting at level 7, on session 22  I'm open to homebrew, I just have to look it over first No evil-aligned characters We would meet before the session as basically your own session 0, where we get your character into Roll20, and talk about your backstory, how you'd like to be introduced into the party, etc. We already have a Nature Cleric, a Mastermind Rogue, an Enchantment Wizard, and a homebrew Dark Seeker.
I would be down to try and join. I've been playing 5e for around a year now and love homebrew worlds, with the various intricacies they bring and new lore to learn. I can make 7pm EST on Saturdays pretty consistently. I favor Paladins and front liners, so I hope that works out for the group. Hope I'm in consideration.
Hello, I would also be interested in the game you are running.  I've got about two years of experience with 5th Edition and the time you run the game works pretty perfectly for me at the moment.  If you still have the space, I'd love to chat and see if we jive with one another.
If your still looking i would love to see if i could join My name is Jeremy but it might be easier to call me Ray since thats what everyone will see. I have around 6 years experience in 5e as both a dm and a player, very little experience in a few other systems. I'm more of a RP focused person myself, i like to build massive backstories with people places and things to interact or play with, usually giving the DM tools to nudge my character with, i find it fun to explore peoples backstories and even current issues, unresolved issues and regrets make great adventurers. I myself as dm have found that players that are willing to go that extra mile in rp are thoroughly more enjoyable to interact with. As a player currently in a group that focuses on character growth and personal arcs very seriously, i find myself having the most fun I've had in dnd in a while.  admittedly have a lot of bench characters that have yet to see the light of day, especially with quarantine and all that, i will still be available to play afterwards as well. Most of my bench characters only have 10-20 or so bullet points, in favor of creating backstories that fit the world and accommodate the setting with large plans to Vastly Broaden the story and even create other interacting characters for them. Here is a few characters that might help show what I'm all about Yjerro Narrowin Yjerro is a wizard that came from a family with much renown as talented mages, his mother and father carried titles that gave them money and special privileges for their hard work and duty to the province. Naturally he was to be trained as such to carry the lineage and pursue his own dreams as a mage, he had a talent for it, weaving simple spells well before most his age, he was deemed a prodigy. At still a young age, his grand promised life came to ruin when a terrible accident gave him the regrettable loss of his mother, his father had become bitter and tried to find his solace at the bottom of a bottle, to drunk half the time to work and wasting the family money on drink, his father managed to keep the home from reputation alone, it was soon after facing rock bottom that his frustrations were taken out on Yjerro's younger brother, it boiled down to a few years of issues and rages from his father before one night Yjerro had enough, he unleashed a spell on his father and put him in the hospital, Yjerro ran away with his younger brother to a family friend that offered to take them in if things got bad, he stayed there for a few months hiding away, but Yjerro knew that his current caretaker didn't have the funds to help them forever. Something had to be done........ Dor'jo ????? Dor'jo grew up in a place that came with a lot of trouble, crime and murder were common place and those who wanted to live kept their noses clean or joined up. He despised the crime families and the petty politics that held them together despite justice, but he knew like anyone else speaking against them alone did as much good for you as a noose would. He kept his head down and worked as a hunter, sure it mostly fed the bellies of the wicked, but so did any work, at least this way he could hide food and keep his family and friends fed. The end of his silence came with a crime that hit his home, enough was enough, and he was tired of being pushed around, on a suicide mission he swore air out the local den, but with suspicious convenience a group of mercenaries all wearing uniform offered to help, he was not one to turn it down and together they managed to dismantle the district, and even cut supplies from the local family in just one night. Astounded at the way they worked he wanted more, such power was never felt by him before, and they led him to the Red Raven Mercenary Co. They had been clearing out dens and families quite recently, starting a revolution, a single noble on the top that claimed to be just as frustrated as the masses, offering to dump his coin into his mercenaries and forming this company to take back the streets. There he honed his skills and became a specialist on a new team, but not all is as it seems.......... Hopefully that gives a good idea of what im about, i have more characters benched and i'm even down to make a whole new one if its better to ground up something. I'll drop my discord down below so you can reach me faster, im not super good and checking roll20 all the time lol Best of luck finding a new player  Raysayvose#2274

hey there your game sounds amazing and i would love to join. iv been playing dnd for about 10 years now mixed between 3.5 pathfinder and 5e, 5e being the majority of my time i happen to have a game i have been running myself for about a year now so i understand the difficulty of shoe horning some one new in. i like to think im easy to talk to i enjoy acting and role play and being who i play during the game feels sort of important to bring the pc your running to life less you become a sword with legs. i sort of favor your typical gish and play melee casters like warlock blade pacts. hears hoping you give me a shot
If you still need a player I am interested. I've been playing D&D since 3e, I've played Pathfinder, 4e and 5e. I usually play a Tiefling Paladin. I have a backstory ready. If you need me let me know.
