Individual Player Volume Controls Not Working

The volume slider overlay ( < > ) located at the bottom of player avatar portraits is not working properly. There is no difference in the level of volume until you hit the bottom (left) of the scale, when the player's volume is then muted. This is a problem in my campaign because the volume level coming from each player is quite variable. Some players have a very loud volume and a lot of background noise. It gets frustrating and tiring dealing with the din. I really need the volume adjustment to work. This bug was already reported at least once, at least as far back as January: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/8050380/ and @Nicholas said "I went ahead and submitted this issue to our development team and we'll take a look at it as soon as we can." Thank you for doing that already. Can we please get an update? Very much appreciated.

I also have this problem. I believe it's listed as a "known issue" on this post by Roll20 Team Member Stephanie B. from 10 March 2019. The individual volume slider isn't working terribly well; a future update will improve this. Bit of an understatement, but I think it's the same issue. Since other users were directed to this thread asking for specs, I'll include my own here, although this issue affects everyone in my game. (I share this here because I'm not sure about my ability or this community's norms about posting on threads that are a year old...) Windows 10 (x64) Version 1909 (OS Build 18363.778) Chrome Stable Version 81.0.4044.113 (Official Build) (64-bit))
2 months since the most recent post on this issue, and I'm still experiencing this as well. Any word on an update to fix this?
Same issue here... It worked back in March and maybe April, but hasn't worked since.
Hi...I can control the volume of HDMI sound from each other application with the Windows Volume Mixer and with the volume control in the application. HDMI sound used to work in VLC. Something is broken. I had the option to make it work by empowering "Standardize volume to:" in Settings. The volume control currently works subsequent to handicapping that setting too.
Any update on this?
Also experiencing this. My avatar video is also only showing on half the tile and haven't heard back about that either. Lots of problems.

It might be this problem: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/8526580/white-bar-to-the-left-of-my-video-screen which is usually resolved by toggling Hardware Acceleration off in Chrome or using Firefox instead.

Using Firefox, volume bar might as well be nonexistant.
Having the same problem here in both Firefox and Chrome.
Same for me, not working
me either
Same. Please fix.
Same issue. Stopped after last patch.
Same problem here. Please Roll20, fix the issue asap. Thanks
Same same. Chrome and Firefox
Same problem. Have had it going on for several months. On chrome. Any update on this?
As a workaround we use Discord for voice, Roll20 for cam. Probably not ideal for everyone, but at least individual volume works in Discord.
Is Roll20 looking into this bug?
Same here! Been not working for months Windows and chrome.

You are not likely to get much response on a forum thread. Since the early part of last year, the devs have requested that issues and bugs be reported by Help Center Request . I don't know if there is anything that has been done on the issue, but the dev team does not track the forums. The Help Center reports automatically create tickets that must be dealt with.
Thanks @keithcurtis. I didn't know that. I have submitted the bug report through the Help Centre (Zendesk) portal. I hope this gets the attention it deserves.
This is the reply I got from Roll20 support: Thank you for reaching out, and apologies for the delay over the busy holiday season. We're sorry that you're experiencing issues with volume control, and this is a documented issue that has been brought to our Development Team's attention. We do not currently have an ETA for resolution of this issue, but we are working to resolve it as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
Still experiencing this issue, and it's been going on for months. Windows and Chrome. Extremely annoying.
I submitted a help ticket two+ weeks ago for the same issue. Yes, I got the auto-reply but a few days later another email came saying a bug ticket was submitted and the Development team would assist. What's perplexing is a day after all that I got another message asking me to rate the support I received. The problem isn't fixed. Are they wanting me to rate the auto-generated emails I received???
we need to point them to this thread - this is getting very annoying - and seems to be impacting a lot of people
To @Dan and everyone concerned. They apparently don't watch the forums. I think the best thing you can do is submit a ticket yourself. The more ticket requests they get about the problem, I think the higher the chance they will actually do something about it. Submit a ticket here: https://roll20.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
