Hiding all DM rolls?

Hello! This is actually a question for my friend that is DMing todays game. During my game, my rolls were hidden by default. Such as initiative rolls or attack rolls for npcs. But in my friends game, all his rolls are visible to us, the players. How do we hide his rolls for NPCs, but still keep the player rolls visible to all players? The weird part is that we seem to have the same settings? Please help! (actually for a friend! xD)

Mentioning the game system and character sheet you are using would be helpful.  Then someone familiar with that system/sheet could probably point you in the right direction.

I'm going to assume since you use the phrase "DM" instead of "GM", that you are playing D&D, and the greatest likelihood is that you are playing 5e using the D&D 5th Edition by Roll20 sheet. If this is the case, then each sheet has an option on the settings tab to either whisper rolls of do them publicly (it's on the third column of that tab. If you want to do this for the entire campaign, here are the steps. It's a fairly simple process made just a touch more complicated due to a minor bug bug in the game settings that doesn't recognize "Never Whisper Rolls", possibly because it is trying to write a blank value. The solution is to use Whisper Toggle. The default is public, so once this is set, all rolls should show. Go to the Campaign Settings Page Choose "Whisper Toggle" under the Default Sheet Settings Save Load your game Go to the settings tab on the right and scroll to the bottom where you will find a button that says Apply Default Settings. Press it. Choose to update the Whisper settings. Wait a minute or two for it to resolve. Have fun!
The game we are playing is DnD 5e! Thank you for the answer!
