Ch. 28: The Adventurers Find an Alchemy Laboratory!

Dungeon Master (GM): you guys can start be discussing what to do next and or moving tokens I can't see how, heck i'll play anything and any setting and enjoy it. has he even said anything to you guys lately? Just waiting on seeing what the party is going to do here! are you guys seeing my text? I can't seem to get the mic working in chrome, I know it works in firefox   Phoenix (Cass): I can see it I'm just trying to quickly catch up on what's been done   Dungeon Master (GM): ok   Phoenix (Cass): I see we're at N9 but have no idea what that is.   Dungeon Master (GM): no one knows what the building here has inside yet   Phoenix (Cass): Assuming no one is more informed about what this building is or what we should do, I say we check the side door.   Dungeon Master (GM): someone pinged the double doors i see   Maevis/Quintolos: Is this the warehouse that I opened a door and a Merchant came over to me?   Dungeon Master (GM): No, that was the previous location then you came down here and you know that the buildings north of that warehouse are yuan-ti halfblood living quarters.   Dungeon Master (GM): Anyways what are the adventurers doing here???   Devin M.: Loitering. Could I get a quick refresher on why we were in the Yuan-Ti city?   Maevis/Quintolos: To take anything not bolted down and kill Yuan ti also supposed to find and take a golden ziggarat   Phoenix (Cass): Take as in capture or steal?   Maevis/Quintolos: steal   Phoenix (Cass): Because unless it's a model I don't think we're stealing a ziggurat   Dungeon Master (GM): Heh, i must mention this every week. It's the Yuan-ti that you are tracking down that lead you to the forbidden city. It was a rogue yuan-ti wizard that told you the demon lord sertrous they worship is looking to destroy the world not rule over it, so he sent the party to the Isle of Dread. there are two aztec styled pyramids in the city, both are new modules   Devin M.: So, we have to destroy the pyramids?   Dungeon Master (GM): heh, well, venture inside of them anyways destroying them may destroy the goodies laying inside!   Maevis/Quintolos: Find anything demon related and destroy it and the yuan ti are mostly demon related   Phoenix (Cass): So, door number one or door number two?   Maevis/Quintolos: one   Devin M.: Two, i guess.   Dungeon Master (GM): ok and ok   Phoenix (Cass): I still vote two   Dungeon Master (GM): well if you are going to check for traps at that door and or just listen at it i will need rolls   Phoenix (Cass): Sure thing   Grax Ironcloak the Shield Dwarf Champion / Magsman, attempts to FIND or REMOVE a TRAP! Result Whispered to DM   (From Phoenix (Cass)):  FIND/REMOVE TRAP:  24 % Needs ≤  55 %   Grax Ironcloak the Shield Dwarf Champion / Magsman, strains his/her ears in an attempt to HEAR what he/she should not! Result Whispered to DM   (From Phoenix (Cass)):  HEAR NOISE Roll:  26 % Needs ≤  25 %   Dungeon Master (GM): No trap was found around the door   Dungeon Master (GM): and nothing is to be heard coming from behind it   Dungeon Master (GM): is grax going to try and open the door?   Maevis/Quintolos: Maevis opens the door   Dungeon Master (GM): it's locked! Where is Maevis’s token?   Xilicien: The northern door.   Dungeon Master (GM): oh maevis moved to #01 that door is locked as well   Phoenix (Cass): So, side door or front door? It's 2-1 for votes.   Dungeon Master (GM): it's lock picking or door smashing time door smashing may attact attention it's daylight   Dungeon Master (GM): anyone going to have grax pick the lock?   Grax Ironcloak the Shield Dwarf Champion / Magsman, attempts to gain entry, by PICKING OPEN a LOCK! Result Whispered to DM   (From Phoenix (Cass)):  OPEN LOCKS Roll:  88 % Needs ≤  52 %   Dungeon Master (GM): Grax could not pick the lock open, he can try the other door   Dungeon Master (GM): trying the other door? rolling d6( 5 ) = 5 the coast is clear, no one around   Maevis/Quintolos: (To GM)rolling {1d100+ 0 }< 55  [Find/Remove Traps]{( 54 )+0} = 1 Success   Dungeon Master (GM): ok no trap was found on the second north door   Maevis/Quintolos: (To GM)rolling {1d100+ 0 }< 52  [Open Locks]{( 93 )+0} = 0 Successes   Dungeon Master (GM): and grax could not pick open that lock either!   Maevis/Quintolos: "Do we try breaking in?"
Dungeon Master (GM): you can of course go around the building to check for other doors!   Xilicien: If only I'd prepared knock last rest.   Maevis/Quintolos: Lets try finding a back door   Dungeon Master (GM): move a token, lets see where you go   Maevis/Quintolos: Found a backdoor   Dungeon Master (GM): maeavis spots a double door ok any trap checking or listening or lock picking?   Maevis Silverleaf the Half Elf Troubador, strains his/her ears in an attempt to HEAR what he/she should not! Result Whispered to DM   (From Maevis/Quintolos):  HEAR NOISE Roll:  59 % Needs ≤  25 %   Dungeon Master (GM): nothing to be heard behind this door trap check? lock picking?   Grax Ironcloak the Shield Dwarf Champion / Magsman, attempts to FIND or REMOVE a TRAP! Darn!)"   Maevis/Quintolos: Cast Detect Magic and scan the area   Dungeon Master (GM): ok several of the vials all around the place have faint auras of magic, likely due to the magic being from within   Maevis/Quintolos: Will start checking the vials   Dungeon Master (GM): ok so maevis samples one? (To GM)rolling d10( 9 ) = 9   Dungeon Master (GM): (To GM)rolling d10( 1 ) = 1   Maevis/Quintolos: Yes He will   Dungeon Master (GM): buddy did you drink a potion?   Buddy D.: no i casted identify   Xilicien: *cast   Dungeon Master (GM): ok after Rowan drinks it he doubles over in a lot of agonizing pain! buddy casting identify means expending a 100 gp pearl and you need to sleep afterwards   Buddy D.: oh crap   Dungeon Master (GM): so he didn't drink it buddy? for Meavis after he drank the potion, he fumbles the bottle which shatters when it hits the floor! rolling 2d4( 4 +2 ) = 6   Buddy D.: i dotn think we should drink these potions   Dungeon Master (GM): he lost 6 points of dexterity   Buddy D.: lol   Maevis/Quintolos: Ouch   Dungeon Master (GM): you can look deeper into the building   Buddy D.: do the potions have lids?   Dungeon Master (GM): yes   Maevis/Quintolos: sure but wont test any more potions   Dungeon Master (GM): don't want them to evaporate out!   Buddy D.: we should take them with us   Dungeon Master (GM): how many bottles you want to grab let's say there are like 30 of them   Buddy D.: how big are the vials?   Xilicien: Does detect magic reveal the school of magic?   Dungeon Master (GM): i believe they are 8 oz in size for potion vials.
