LFDM [5E][Paid][Two Players Ready]

Dungeon Master Straight to the Point Notes Experienced Dungeon Master that is looking to get paid Players are Myself and my girlfriend  Long term campaign Willing to find the other amount of players he needs for his campaign The  girlfriend  and I work all week so weekend games only Shooting for every other week About Me         My name is Jonathan and I'll be 26 yrs old on Wednesday. I've played D&D with my girlfriend for a couple years now, so we are still pretty new at this whole thing. I'm the type of player who plays pretty close to the books rules, but of course lets the dungeon master decide whats right and whats wrong. I'm hoping to find a group that will play for a while together, hence actually paying for sessions. As a player I'm pretty good at avoiding meta gaming, respecting other player characters, and I'm pretty easy to get along with. I also am not the person who will try to create the perfect hero, I understand that the characters you make are mortal, have flaws, and could die. For example, (I will not create a character because of the racials it comes with, I will do it on what I want to play, how it matches my backstory, and what I think is fun to play at the time.) I consider myself decently creative and if someone jumps in late can be very flexible at creating a new character if they really want to play the class I've already chosen.  I do however have a issue that stops me from jumping into weekly games on the join games tab. My job requires me to do on call for a week once a month where I can leave at any time to go work for a unset amount of time. I can however let you know in advance this week since its sent out quarterly by the company and never changes.     Reason For Going This Route         I've decided to go the paid dungeon master route with people I don't know besides my girlfriend being that every game we start with friends falls through the cracks of players leaving because they can't make time or won't show up on scheduled dates. There are also the facts of the dungeon master not being experienced can waste the time of players and it usually ends with players taking advantage of them. I feel that in an environment where everyone is paying money we can expect some sort of quality content every session and also all use mature decision making choices. Basically what I'm getting at is I want someone who can deal with difficult players instead of letting them run rampant.  Misc         I do have one small favor for the possible future gm reading this. If at all possible I would like to set up a cam or be on a trust basis to use actual dice. I would like to ask this of you for two reasons. Who doesn't like to roll dice! Playing with roll 20 it almost feels like it has a high chance for 20s some days and others high chance for nat 1's. Wrapping Things Up         Hopefully someone finds this post worth replying to, because I genuinely would like to start a campaign soon. If you are someone thinking about starting a campaign and don't have potential players please comment below with how long you have been a dungeon master, maybe one or more of your favorite experiences while being a dungeon master, Maybe you can lay out how you have dealt with difficult players in the past, and any other information you want to share about yourself. If possible I would like to discord call and maybe get to know you a bit before deciding on any potential candidates after all it will be paid sessions!
DM sent.
Greetings and well-met heroes! I am The Dungeon Master and I will be your guide in the realm of Dungeons & Dragons! I have been a professional DM for over 5 years and have been DMing for over 30 years total. I have examples of my games up on  YouTube  and am available for a new (preferably) Friday or Saturday game slot but am open to other days during the week. I have several existing campaigns with 1 spot open in the Pathfinder one two Sundays a month and 1-2 spots open in the weekly 5th edition game on Sundays. I am happy to teach new players and session 0/character creation is always free. I also have a number of games that I am interested in running such as Diablo (D&D 3.5) and Game of Thrones (D&D 5th edition). Hi Jonathan! I'm Phoenix! I started as a DM somewhere around 2012 and I'm just looking into being a paid DM. You sound like an awesome player in a group. I love that you're ready to be something different if someone else is dying to be what you already are. I do the same thing as a player.  I'm currently running three campaigns for friends and family. Two are D&D 5E, one is Star Wars Force and Destiny. There are a couple of ways I have handled trouble players in the past. One of the issues I experience most often is one player telling others what dice to roll every time someone needs to. I've been able to remind them that if they always do that, other players will never quite learn how to roll, and that takes away from their knowledge and enjoyment of the game. I liked learning what dice to roll when and felt better when I was able to do it quickly because I was finally used to it. I can slowly build up punishments, from straight up telling them to outright stop to making them roll with disadvantage to talking with them outside of the game to make them understand what they're doing. It rarely escalates that far, but I know that it could happen and I'm prepared to do that when I need to. I'll share with you a couple of my most favorite recent events in the games I've played. Most recently, I gave my players a side quest to gather some ingredients for a potions seller. It was on their way to their main objective, which I all but directly made clear to them. Instead of gathering one of the flowers, one of them just picked one up... and ate it... and continued on their way. No one else stopped to pick one up. They just... left them all behind. Now we have a running joke about eating random objects. Another thing I did recently was because of a scheduling issue for my players. Instead of having a full party, I had only half of one. I wrote up something entirely different from what I was prepared to play, creating a new side story for those who showed up. I created a dream world they had been magically trapped in where they encountered weird creatures, weird items, and even dream versions of themselves. I secretly rolled every time they moved to a new area to mimic a dreamscape randomly shifting and creating new places in order to determine where they ended up next. I think the idea of a discord meet is great! It's a much better way to talk than through any text-based format on here. Let me know if you think I could be your DM. My schedule is free most days and I can certainly make every other week work, no problem!
