Having an issue with CTRL+L (Maybe a Bug?)

I think I have toggled something that should not be toggled. Now, when I use CTRL+L, I notice that I can see tokens that should be hidden from the view of the players (ie hidden monsters tokens, trap tokens, area tokens, etc. And they are all indeed on the GM layer).  This was not the case when I was farting around yesterday (I'm running the CoS module so its not a hack job) The tokens im testing with CTRL+L has "has sight" box checked and 40/20 ft vision (as if he were holding a torch) in the tokens advanced settings tab. "All Players see light" is NOT checked.  In the Page settings, (Legacy) Dynamic Lighting is enabled along with enforce line of sight. Restrict movement is also enabled.  That is all. I was messing around with fog of war, advanced fog of war, and global illumination before I experienced this problem. But all of those options are now disabled. I searched the forums for a similar issue but could not find any relevant information. I've tried several other things like recreating tokens, relaunching the game, re-booting, etc.  I recall seeing a trouble shooting page for player visibility problems somewhere in the help center but I can not for the love of me seem to be able to find it again. I should add, I have not begun playing with any real players yet. I have simply been practicing creating tokens, moving around them around, and familiarizing myself with how the system works. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Ctrl-L has never hidden the GM layer. It may be that you had the GM layer opacity turned down previously, or perhaps you were messing about with UDL, which is in a state of dynamic change currently. But legacy Ctrl-L is really for determining line of sight, which is why the general recommendation is to test any lighting set up using a  Dummy Account .
You were correct!  I rejoined the game as a player and was no longer able to see tokens and the other assets on the GM layer.  Now I realize that I must have been originally testing line of sight by continually rejoining the game as player.  I've only recently been learning the system so once I learnt how to check line of sight with the CTRL+L feature, I simply forgot that I had previously been rejoining the game to checked LoS (So much to keep track of!). I also wrongly assumed that CTRL+L was supposed to give the GM a pure view of what the player sees, but as you pointed out "Ctrl-L has never hidden the GM layer" from the GM.   Thanks for setting me strait.
