How to make tokens use default settings by default

I have changed my game's default settings to allow "show nameplate". However, each time I add a token I have to go press "apply default settings" in the gear menu to get the nameplates to show up. Doing them in batches is slightly faster than editing each token individually, but is there any way to use the default settings by default?

While you wait for that to be fixed, confirm this is what you did: You can set this outside the game in your Game Default Settings ( <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Game_Settings_Page#Game_Default_Settings" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Game_Settings_Page#Game_Default_Settings</a> ). Note that this only applies to future tokens . Once this is set, launch your game, open Settings (the cog icon in the right-hand Sidebar pane), and scroll down to the bottom. There should be an Apply Default Settings button. Click that and choose the default settings you wish to apply to the tokens already in your game . Click the Apply Settings button and it will go to work. It may take a few minutes depending on how big your game is - watch the progress bar below the red text and don't close or change the page until it finishes. When it is done you will get a box that says "Selected settings successfully applied." and an OK button. When you see that you should be all set.

I can confirm this is what i did, except when I move to another map and drag-drop the same tokens ontothe map, i have to re-re-apply the defaults.

You may need to re-save the default token for those sheets. Setting the default token on a sheet is the last step you do. It's kind of like saving your work. If you drag out a token to the VTT and make changes to it (like you did following the instructions above), those changes do not get saved back to the default token on the sheet.
