How Can One Align Pasted Tokens & Objects From One Map to Another in The Same Place?

Hello, I'm trying to make duplicate maps for different sets of players. I've found this: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/462424/slug%7D and don't understand the use of the Calvin word, "transmogrify" Also found some more recent ones, but they all seem to deal with copy and paste which is what I am finding difficult. My issue is that I can copy all the map tokens on the Map Background layer on map one. It's the location on map two where the objects are pasted that befuddle me. Sometimes the pasted objects are off the map. Other times, as in the illustrated example screen shots, the pasted objects have moved on the map. For example, Map 1, the trees are from Dundjinn, anchor by Erdik: The map objects and tokens end up in this configuration. While this is just a portion of the whole map, I will eventually have terrain objects across the whole map and this will cause me to lose tokens. I was hoping to use the anchor to help me move everything back into place, but it won't snap properly. Thanks in advance for any help. -- Tim

The Transmogrifier is a Pro Subscriber Perk that lets you copy parts of one Game to another. You can use it to make copies of map pages by moving them out, renaming them, and moving them back. Pasting is always centered around the last place that you clicked. Snapping makes things a bit complicated. One thing that sometimes helps is placing something which is larger than all of the things on the map to set a fixed snapping outer boundary. You can then select and copy everything along with that giant thing. When you paste, you then select everything (ctrl-A or CMD-A) and move it to the right place, taking advantage of the giant thing to snap it to the right place. Then you just delete the giant thing and you have your copy with items well lined up.
Aaron, thank you so much for the quick reply. I'll have work a little on the snapping, namely how to select something like my . I am a pro subscriber and will try and find the transmogrifier and figure it out. Once again, thank you and all the best. -- Tim
You are a 'plus' subscriber according to the tag by your name. Thus no transmogrify. I suggest backing up the game for now. That wont work beyond the prent state of things though, because when you make a new map, backing it up will create a separate copy.
Thanks, Patrick, quite right. I sadly realized I don't have access to the Calvin command soon after posting my reply. LOL By backing up, you mean the copy command? I assume there's no way to back up a game on one's computer.
correct, backing up the game creates a complete copy of the state of the game when you do it.
Perfect, thanks :)
