August 14, 2018 Tuesday afternoon, just after 1:45 PM. Moms are enjoying the
afternoon with their kids, businessmen are having lunch during the sunny warm
weather, young people are throwing Frisbees, jogging, and hanging out. When
suddenly the sound of energy weapons cut the air and screams of terror echo
from the busy streets that run passed the park. Four mechanical things were following the road shooting
everyone they saw with their ray guns, shouting ‘Exterminate’ as they went. Two super beings appeared to stop them (Marvel Girl and the
first appearance of Air Burst). The supers were able to slow the death machines but not stop
them. The battle ended when one of the (self identified) Daleks announced that
‘the female has been in the proximity of the Turning Crystal, our mission is
successful. Capture it for interrogation!’ The tide of the battle was turning
against the Daleks so a regroup order was issued. Three of the death machines
were teleported away but (Air Burst) knocked on of the Daleks were knocked away
from the group. It self destructed rather than be captured. A gooey organic
substance was found inside the machinery.
The woman (Marvel Girl) left before being identified or
questioned by the police, the man also left. His parting word to the woman, not
that anyone else heard them, was (more or less) ‘if you need to reach me put an
ad in the Times saying we met in the park’. [There was more but I (the GM)
can’t remember the exact wording.]
