Display a Scale/Tracker On Screen

I'm starting a game that's very focused on exploration and survival. Tracking supplies is going to be very important, and while I could track things on a handout A.) I often forget to update it and B.) I want it present on the screen so people are aware of it. Is there a way to display a number that stays with us from map to map? The best thing I've figured out is to keep a token and keep updating the number on that, but that's clumsy as all get out.

You could use a Custom Turn Entry.  It has a number and would be on all screens.
I need the turn tracker to track initiative during fights, though! :D I guess I could keep a custom entity on there and skip it in a fight.

You  could create a custom card deck for this, even if it had only 1 card, set to "infinite". When any cards are dealt to the GM the card back (perhaps a picture of food) is visible to all players. The number of cards the GM has is shown on top of that. If you're tracking food, water, and Hostess Twinkies, you could create three different decks with card back art for each.
Huhn. A custom deck would actually be a pretty decent idea, all things considered. Thanks! That'll let me even keep track of how much each individual player has in the way of supplies. Of course if they get a wagon I'll have to put the cards in the wagon...

Custom deck is a nice idea!
