
Players who have been accepted into this game will build their character using the CharacterMancer feature in the Roll20 5e sheet loaded for them in the game. The CharacterMancer will guide you through character creation, but here are some specific items to this game: Characters will begin at 1st level Choosing a Race and Class: All of the races and classes presented in the Player’s Handbook, Volo's Guide to Monsters, and Xanathar's Guide to Everything are available for use. Please note however that I only have the PHB Compendium, so if you use options from Xanathar's or Volo's, you will need to manually enter that information in the character sheet. Determining Ablity Scores: Your character’s ability scores are generated using one of the following methods: • Standard Array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8) • Variant: Point Buy (PHB, p. 13) or (Basic D&D, p.8). Describing Your Character: Background. Choose a background using the rules in the PHB or any of the other resources listed above. Please also use Personality Traits, Ideals, Bonds, and Flaws Alignment. This game will focus on creating a welcoming, fun environment, so please keep this in mind when selecting an alignment. Deities. Please use Forgotten Realms deities for this game. Choosing Equipment You obtain starting equipment and gold as determined by your class and background—you can’t roll for your starting wealth. Trinkets.You begin play with a trinket of your choice from the table in Chapter 5 of the PHB, or you can roll randomly to determine your trinket. Selling Equipment. You can sell any mundane equipment that your character possesses using the normal rules in the PHB. Purchasing Equipment. You can purchase any equipment found in the PHB with your starting gold.
