Out of the Abyss Ever Coming to Roll 20 - Rebuilding Thread

Hey all,&nbsp; It looks like this has already been discussed in the following thread... <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/7306601/out-of-the-abyss-ever-coming-to-the-marketplace#newtopic" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/7306601/out-of-the-abyss-ever-coming-to-the-marketplace#newtopic</a> But..... im opening up the conversation again as I cannot find any recent replies to the requests, and it looks like we have not had any official (That I have found) notice or update on if the campaign is being released. With our gaming group in particular, Covid-19 has made it impossible for face to face gaming, and so we have looked to roll 20 to help ease / alleviate the monotony of our daily grind at home with some much needed social interaction. If the team at Roll20 could please provide us with a status other than a canned "We are working on it" response it would be appreciated.&nbsp; Its worth noting, and maybe even a little sad that with the stay at home restrictions, I have discovered and become a big fan of Roll 20..... hats off to the team that developed this, and I appreciate all the hard work. - Big Fan. Thanks Erik Pauze'

It was strongly hinted during the last Roll20 Community Roundtable that this would be out before the next (monthly) Roundtable, so I would think before end of May, barring major problems.
Was that OotA or SCAG? Rabulias said: It was strongly hinted during the last Roll20 Community Roundtable that this would be out before the next (monthly) Roundtable, so I would think before end of May, barring major problems.

Out of the Abyss was the one mentioned in the Roundtable. No word yet on SCAG but last word was the WotC back catalog would be done by end of 2020. See here: <a href="https://youtu.be/g_Zc7ujq1yc?t=3073" rel="nofollow">https://youtu.be/g_Zc7ujq1yc?t=3073</a>
Okay, I thought I heard it the other way around. Thank you for the link.
Thanks for the reply Rabulias. I appreciate it

This module has taken a lot of my time prepping so was glad to see it finally available on Roll20. A bit disappointed that I have to create a new game however, anyone know if there there a way of merging it with my existing campaign that has a lot of useful stuff and macros in it including a few custom maps of my own?

You can use the Character Vault to transfer characters. Maps and handouts you will have to re-create. If you upgrade to Pro, you can use the Transmogrifier (<a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Transmogrifier" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Transmogrifier</a>) and copy maps and handouts between games.

That might be worth an upgrade for a month then thanks :) Feel a bit sad I will be saving prep time only to spend it transferring stuff anyway lol

Just a quick thankyou! That was fantastic, everything transferred to the new game in a few minutes, superb!
Yes the Transmogrifier and the API Scripts make the Pro subscription very attractive! And Dynamic Lighting (but you can get that with Plus). Glad it helped!

Is there a way to see what maps you get?&nbsp; I am playing OotA and have been creating everything myself based off the hardcopy book which I own and various internet resources.&nbsp; I want to buy this if it include workable battlemaps for Blingdenstone and beyond, but if I will need to add my own battlemaps still, I am happy to just keep doing the legwork myself.&nbsp;&nbsp; I understand that it's difficult for them to post the images of what is available, but is there a list of resources that I am missing?&nbsp; Thanks for any help!

If the map is in the book, it will be in the Roll20 module.

Thanks, I am more curious about&nbsp; playable battle maps than I am the reference maps in the book.&nbsp; The description says it comes with 5 "roll20 exclusive" maps.&nbsp; One of the preview pictures looks like the Velkynvelve map being used with tokens.&nbsp; Does that count as a roll 20 exclusive map or one of the other 19?&nbsp; &nbsp;Would be a waste for me to buy if the battlemaps were all stuff my group has already covered or were just reference material maps that I already have.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The five additional battle mats are generic underdark maps for running random encounters: Cavern, Underground Lakeshore, etc. They are not of specific locations in the book. The other maps (the ones from the published source) range from specific encounter location battle mats like Hook Horror Lair to large area maps of places like Menzobaranzan. These are all the WotC art.
Appreciate the info!
