Updated Dynamic Lighting and Restrict Movement?

Hey. I'm a new plus user.  I try to use the updated dynamic lighting. It seems that "restrict movement" doesn't work even though I've checked it on the page option? I'm not sure if the option on the page is only for the old dynamic lighting? It also seems that explored areas are "brightly lit" instead of somewhat dimmed. Is that right, or am I doing anything wrongly?
