shape as token

Hi Just tried roll20 and it looks promising. I have noticed though that token can only be images and not shapes. On my slow internet connection it would cool if shape could be token as well. Also if we could group shape so that for example you could have a label following the circle that contains it.  Thanks Oohazard

You can group items on the tabletop already. Either click and drag to highlight what you want to group, or hold down the SHIFT key and select the items one at a time with your mouse. When you have the selection you want grouped, right click inside the selection to bring up the popup options menu. Click on "Advanced" and then click on "Group".
I second this idea, but I wish more to push a suggestion thread that died half a year ago. it was requesting that freehand drawings could be turned into tokens. I personally run my games with a blank image, and I draw the dungeon on the fly using my tablet. How awesome it would be if I could also draw out a quick entity and slap some stats on it. Also, and I do this a lot for when I run a game that uses an actual map. I'll have a table or dresser token, and when a player chooses to throw/move it, I actually give them permission over that token and let them choose where it ends up. token functionality allows me to be creative, and integrating it with my heavy usage of the freehand tool will allow me to further  develop the sandbox style gameplay I try to provide for my players. Just a suggestion of course, I'm still having a blast with the new character sheets; thanks :D
Yes Shape/freehand definitively need to be able to be considered token.  @Kristin While you replied to the feature of grouping which is very useful what do you think of the idea of shape as token? Hope this feature come to light. Thanks

This has been suggested before, so there are people certainly out there in our userbase interested in this being possible. It's up to the Devs if its something they want to do.
