I Want To Pay Someone To Setup / Pre-Load My Roll20 (Spell Effect Tokens, Dynamic Lighting, Etc)

Recently started (inadvertently) DMing a 5e Homebrew world Game. With all the COVID-19 going on it quickly became a Roll20 v.s. in-person game, but I have to say I'm hooked. In a week of messing with things I got a Plus Account specifically for Dynamic Lighting, but I have to say the Tokens, Battlemaps, and everything else is really making me prefer this to physical tabletop. Even when I'm not social distancing and play in-person, I suspect most games I run or play in will be pushed towards Roll20.  There is a lot to go through, between learning Macros, Jukebox, finding Battlemaps, and recently I've been looking into Spell-effect tokens. Truth be told, I'm not super-fantastic when it comes to macros and while I have a working idea on how to get the spell-effect tokens setup for a game it's admittedly a tedious task. That's when I figured that there may be someone somewhere who would setup / prime a Roll20 account as a paid service. My hope is to, in addition to paying for whatever decided upon Token/Spell Effect Packs from the Marketplace (if need be), to get someones help to load up Maps and scale them, develop/save various Macro's, and to develop/load Spell-effect Tokens, Etc.   I was searching around the Forums as well as Patreon/Google, Etc and I haven't found anything quite what I'm looking for. Am I just... missing where a service like this could be purchased? Or is something like this too Niche or too clumsy/risky to bother entertaining?

EDIT: You can invite a player to your game and then promote them to GM. However, I'm not sure if this means things they create as GM will then be accessible to you once they hand the reins back. I'd be willing to try helping you experiment with a few things.

I don't advertise it as a service, but I've been invited to be a co-GM so I could set up a map someone got from me before, which was not something I charged additional money for. I suspect most map artists would set up a map in game if someone is having difficulty, so I imagine if you find a marketplace map that you can't install you can just talk to the maker and ask them for tips or a hand as GM to install it and they'd do so. Like... anyone on the marketplace does want you to be able to use their product. :) The trick is to make sure you're on the map layer and not the token layer, and size the page appropriately first. If you open a map in a digital art program and set the dpi to 70, you can then look at the inches to know how many squares to set it to in the page toolbar. I got a plus account specifically so I could learn dynamic lighting in case people wanted this done... I have figured it out. But I haven't figured out any of the other wizardry involved, so I can see why someone would want to hire someone to set up a game. Roll20 does a lot of things, but there is no way to specifically sell or seek "help" in that domain. You'd probably have best luck finding that kind of help in a Discord chat for DMs or maybe on a subreddit for DMs, and I'm not sure you'd have to pay for it, I'm sure you could find helpful people who can answer all kinds of questions. :) I dunno, macro making as a career is probably not viable, so I think you'll have more luck finding people who are just helpful than people who'd want to charge to do that, but who knows! If you do find someone, all you have to do is set them as GM too and they can install maps, set up lighting and macros, etc, same as you, just make sure you trust whoever you promote. Also I don't believe that them uploading something into their storage makes it available to you, just that game.

There are a couple of pitfalls in having someone else set up a game, but they are not serious. Any macros on the collections tab that they set up will not be editable by you, even if they expressly give you permission. You can use them, but if they need to be fixed or changed, that person will have to do it. I would recommend the setup person send you a list of macros that absolutely have to be built in the collections tab and let you copy and paste them in, and build the rest on a  Macro Character Sheet , which you can edit. If they don't know which ones absolutely have to be built on the Collections tab (primarily universal token action macros), they probably shouldn't be charging you for their services. Related: Those macros on the collections tab will not appear automatically on you Macro Quick Bar down below, even if they click the button. That's a per-person setting, so you will need to do that step yourself. All that being said, the challenges of setting up a Plus account are not nearly so great as setting up a Pro account, so hopefully it won't be too big a task.
