Give a player control of an NPC

Hi, first time here, sorry if this is not the place. For my campaign I made a sistem for troops based on some simple rolls, and for that is much better the npc sheet than the pcs (DnD 5e OGL), but I cannot give full control of the token to the players. Maybe I'm doing something wrong (I double checked that they could see and edit the sheet) but they cannot move the token and I'm supposing thats because the token is linked to an npc and maybe npcs are somehow locked to the GM? I read at some post that with TokenMod you can give control on the fly, but I want it to be permanent and also Token mod says that it can be in conflict with some of my scripts (right now only have CombatMaster, OGL companion, Group Check, libTokenMaser and ApplyDamage). If someone could throw some light on this I would be really grateful.

Verify: Double click on the actual token you want them to move. Is it linked to the sheet, and have you verified that that is the sheet they control? An improperly set up default token can lead one astray.
If you want a player to be able to move a token that is tied to a sheet, then you need to either: 1) Give them Edit and Control rights to the sheet. See more in the wiki here: <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Journal#Character_Tabs" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Journal#Character_Tabs</a> in the section Can Be Edited &amp; Controlled By . 2) Disconnect the token from the sheet and manually assign control of the token to the player. See more in the wiki here: <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Token#Controlled_By_.284.29" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Token#Controlled_By_.284.29</a> Note that they will not be able to run macros that reference anything on the sheet for the token, and the values on any bars may need to be manually set, but they will be able to move it and see what it sees.

That conflict message can be ignored.&nbsp; It just means that several of those scripts declare that they manipulate the same objects.&nbsp; It doesn't actually mean they conflict. You can set controlled by with: !token-mod --set controlledby|+"&lt;PLAYER NAME&gt;" That will set it for selected tokens.&nbsp; It they represent a character, it will set it on the character, if they don't, it will set it on the token.&nbsp; It will persist.&nbsp; Note that this is adding to the list of players that can control the token.&nbsp; See the help handout in game for more details.
Thank you very much for your responses. I think I figured it out
