I apologize if this isn't the place, I have a simple question. If I purchase an adventure like "Princes of the Apocalypse" will things like races be added to my compendium, allowing my players to create Genasi in other games, for example?

While this is generally true of newer modules, Princes of the Apocalypse predates the Charactermancer. I do not think Genasi became a compendium race until the recent release of Wildemount.
