Cannot enter a +1 Greatsword

I cannot enter a weapon, a +1 Greatsword into my weapons. I deleted my regular Greatsword and now, when I try and enter the new weapon, I get a new damage roll, not a weapon. Help! (I am a very newby)

Do you drag the +1 sword from the compendium (the big (i) icon in the top right menu bar right above the chat) to your character sheet? If yes, you will get both a new weapon in your inventory and a new attack that includes the +1 modifier from the sword in your attacks section, that is intended. Otherwise, can you describe what you did to add that sword? I assume you want both a +1 greatsword in your inventory and an attack/damage roll for that greatsword?
