My players can't move their tokens

I did build my first Roll20 game as a GM and my characters can move their tokens as they should. Then I build a second game für another group and noone is able to move their tokens. They can access their character sheets and edit them, but can't move on the map. The layer is object and Tokens, and the "Moveable avatar" is on "player controlled", so I guess the fault is somewhere else in the settings? Please help, thank you!

Not sure what "Movable avatar" is referring to, but here is a checklist, some of which you have done. Verify carefully, since the tokens as placed on the table might have been set up in the wrong order. 1. Character is assigned to a player. Make sure they have both permission settings assigned to them: "Edit and control" and "in journal" 2. Make sure that the token that is on the table is set to represent that character. The common error here is setting the default token, and then setting the representation. It needs to be the other way around, with setting the default token as being the last step.      2a. Make sure that the token is set to the right character, and that players do not have a duplicate sheet assigned to them. 3. Make sure the token is on the Token layer, not the gm or map layer. 4. Make sure that you and the players are looking at the same page and tokens.

The "Moveable Avatar" setting relates to the players' video windows, allowing them to re-position them around the VTT, instead of being locked along the bottom of the window. This has no effect on tokens, and Keith's suggestions should help you. (My bet is #2 is your issue.)

Ah, I use that feature so rarely, I didn't even cross my mind. Yeah, Movable Avatar has nothing to do with tokens.
