I have received a massive response of interested players, and have contacted those who have been given a spot. Thank you so much for your interest, and if you did not receive an invite, I still look forward to playing with you in the future! A new Curse of Strahd Campaign is looking for four players to take on the task of defeating this undead menace once and for all! Do you like vampires? Do you like being trapped in foggy nether realms with little to no hope of escape? Do you enjoy populaces that are highly xenophobic and ready to burn you at the stake, because you thought playing a Tabaxi would be "cute?!" Well, apply here to take part :) My name is Mike, and I've been playing Dungeons and Dragons for over 30 years. I regularly create my own campaign settings, but have always loved Ravenloft. When I saw the chance to run a game of it on Roll20, I jumped at the opportunity. As a DM, I am fair, I play my enemies intelligently (well, if they're intelligent), and I don't hold back. While this role does mean that I am the final decision maker, I believe Dungeons and Dragons is a chance for group story-telling. I look for players who are interested in the story as a whole, not just their own, and are the kind of person who will try to engage everyone at the table to be part of the action. Time: Tuesdays (6:30pm - 10:00pm) PST Character Creation: You will each start at 1st level, and we will create characters together during the first session (that have a reason for working together). Monstrous characters are not particularly appropriate for the "feel" of the setting and we will stick to the core rule books in terms of allowed races. We will create a group agreement during the first session as well to set up some ground rules for the type of game we would like to play. Application Questions 1. Name/Age 2. What is your familiarity with D&D 5th Edition? 3. What kind of character would you like to play?

Hi there, 1. Name/Age: My  name is Mack and  I am in my thirties. 2. What is your familiarity with D&D 5th Edition?: Over the past few years, I have  taken part  in  a few sessions. But none of them seeing completion. Tho, these past few months, because of Roll20 and some great people, I have been able to get a lot more games in! I know a little bit about "Curse of Strahd" and  the settings sound right up my ally!  3. What kind of character would you like to play?: I have yet to try playing a wizard and have been wanting to try playing one for my next character. That  being said, I am flexible and can go for Barb/Fighter/ Paladin. Thanks for taking the time to read and hope to hear back!

Application Questions 1. Name/Age: Marcus 40's 2. What is your familiarity with D&D 5th Edition? several years of tabletop (5e) and a lot of time on roll20 (5e)  Most of the time with RL friends, but a few games with all new people too. 3. What kind of character would you like to play?  I never get into a campaign quick enough to call "Druid" but I'm not sure that will fit this campaign.  (Maybe we can brainstorm on a fitting druid type.story?)   But definitely been thinking of some sort of servant for a mage that gets caught up in an experiment gone wrong and becomes a sorcerer.  Draconic or Shadow ?  I like to play more support role but also deal a little damage.  That being said, I haven't been a tank type yet so that'd be fun.  I can enjoy playing anything but a "singing" bard...I just wouldn't do that you all!  Re-read and updated...
Name/Age: Martin, late 20's What is your familiarity with D&D 5th Edition?: I've been playing 5e for about 5 years now, mostly as a DM.  I have experience both on Roll20 and around a tabletop.  Would love to be a part of a long running campaign! What kind of character would you like to play?: I've been itching to play a cleric lately.  I love the support roles, and clerics are a good mix of support while still being to dole out damage.  That being said, I would be willing to fill any role that would make a well balanced party.  Thanks and hope to hear from you!
You're a really experienced DM! I've never played DnD with someone who has so many years of experience, so I'm incredibly interested in joining. Application Questions 1. Name/Age: My name is Kevin, however my usual screen name is Duskers. You can call me either/or. I'm 26 2. What is your familiarity with D&D 5th Edition?: I was fringely interested in DnD for many years before getting into the hobby, but only really started taking part 5 or 6 years ago. It was originally play-by-post on RPGCrossing, but now I regularly play with friends I met on Roll20 and have been doing so for over a year now. Tuesdays are entirely free for me, however. 3. What kind of character would you like to play?: As someone who has never played in Curse of Strahd before, I'm only able to go off of what I've heard of Ravenloft. Depressing, horrific, with a weighty level of prejudice amongst the citizens. With that in mind, I think I'd like to play a character who is a little morally gray. I'm not necessarily interested in being evil, but I think I want to play a character who is not absolutely disgusted by every event that happens around them. To that end, I have a few ideas. A Barbarian who fights every day to survive and doesn't have any reservations about stepping over a few bodies just to wake the next day. A Rogue who's smart enough to avoid hard situations and fights, which has reserved a sliver of compassion for others. Or even perhaps a Warlock who has made a pact with an extraplanar being under the promise that one day, if they do as they're told, may be granted a chance to leave Ravenloft. There's a lot of ways I could go with it and these are far from my only ideas, but generally speaking my class only serves to compliment my character's persona as I find all classes in 5E fun to play. Hope to be accepted!
Name/Age: Stephen 24 What is your familiarity with 5th edition?: I've played a few one off games, know the rules pretty well and looking for a little more experience. What kind of Character would you like to play?: I tend to like playing rogues, bards, and other support type characters. I also enjoy spellcasters, as I usually play an arcane trickster!
Application Questions 1. My name is Rachel, I’m 30 2. I’ve been playing 5e for a little over two years now with my group of friends. We have mainly tabletop experience, but I’ve played a bit on roll20 more recently, and the platform has a ton of advantages. 3. I’d really enjoy playing a Tabaxi rogue I created, I love her back story and rogue is my favorite class to play. I also have a Tiefling monk I’d enjoy playing as well, let me know if there’s a preference. I’ve been looking for the opportunity to play with an experienced DM, so I hope you decide to add me to your group.
1. Evan - 29 2. What is your familiarity with D&D 5th Edition? Just getting back into D&D, I've played about 30 hours of 5E as DM so far, and looking forward to being a PC! 3. What kind of character would you like to play? I'd like to play elven ranger, a sort of outcast/hermit who spent most of her time in the forest, but has ventured out to face a new danger, but I'm open to playing a wizard, paladin, fighter or rogue! I also know  "Mackdaddy" above and we've played a bit before!

Hello , I’m Ken, and in my early 30s. For 5th edition D&D , I’ve been playing in and running games for about three years, give or take a few months. Nothing on roll20 as of yet, though I'm itching to try. Although, I’ve been steeped in D&D since early 2000s, spending a great deal of time in 3.5 edition, developing and playing in all manner of published or homebrew worlds and one-shots, my favorite of which was threading all the Ashardalon related modules into a single cohesive campaign and setting. For characters , there are two categories. Regarding mechanical play, I enjoy several styles, usually gravitating around some incarnation of battlefield control or spellsword/gish. From a Sentinel-feat lancer, to a caster wholly lacking damaging spells, battlefield control is my go-to. However, I also enjoy good ‘ole blasting, sniping, or sneaking also. Additionally, I enjoy heavily multi-classing, weather for story or character or optimization reasons – folk in meat-space are complex, and I like my character's options to be, also. Who needs capstones? Not this guy. Still, if a single-class character is a must for this particular game, I can adapt to that as well. Regarding story and personality, I enjoy several styles here also. Again, I tend to gravitate to support-personalities - the loyal friend who will back the play of his allies before asking questions. However, characters grow and change, and I’ve happily filled the role of Party Face down through Dumb Brute, with equal gusto along the way. For story, I like having a party-wide story arc, and I also like being the sidekick who helps someone else through their story arc, and sometimes having a personal story arc. Not a big fan of the lone-wolf archetype at all, however, for multiplayer D&D games. Mostly, I enjoy finding Magic: the Gathering card art and developing a character based upon it. To that end, I’d like to play a character who fills a niche within the party structure, weather controlling enemies or the environment around them, or reducing them to piles of ash, or perhaps keeping everyone else alive and well. Perhaps the bard/fighter who is a crackshot with a bow'n'arrow as well as bow'n'violin? Perhaps a cleric/druid with a fatalistic streak and a passion for recycling? Perhaps the assassin/paladin raised by dryads, who is out to shiv Saruman-types? Or perhaps yet the cleric/wizard who is aging at an accelerated rate because he can see the streams of time, and tries to influence them? Or some yet unnamed character? Regardless , it's been nice to read through all the different applications and your campaign pitch. Curse of Strahd is a campaign I've been itching to play in, and I am thwarted by my irl compatriots due to our current state of pandemic. Have a good time!
