Viewing Addon content

I "purchased' a couple of free addons that I would like to look at before deciding whether to add them to my game. Is there a way to view the content that I am missing? I don't seem to be able to look at the maps, storylines, etc. without adding them to the specific game.

You can create a new game and add it to that to look at. Remember you can create as many games as you can keep track of. Even better would be to use the Copy Game feature to make a copy of your existing game, and add the add-on to that. This way you will see exactly how the add-on will be injected into your current game.
I keep an "Extra" game just for such a thing. also good if you are testing APIs or Macros.
Creating more games is the way to go. For every item i buy, i instantly create an OOTB (out of the box) version game. I never play with these games, but only use them to transmogrify items to the  games with players. Same thing i do for adventures i create myself. Always in a seperate game. Now we have “delete folder”, i am only waiting for transmogrify to support folders and GMing will become a real breeze.
