[Weekly Downtime Thread][Spring III 1526 HC][Sessions 199-206]

Please post any of your downtime activities below. You can find the full rules for downtime  here . You can find last week's downtime thread  here. This thread is for the week:  20 May to 24 May, covering sessions 199-206 Always remember to be specific about what downtime action you are taking! If you're leveling up type that in your post labeled as OOC! If you're looking into an item be specific about where that item is from, what mission, when you got it, who from, etc. If you write "I read that book I found" the DM is likely to have no clue what you are talking about. If you are learning a language, or tool make sure to write down how many weeks you have been practicing! This lowers the DC, and gives advantage depending on the number of weeks. Also a reminder that players only get one main downtime action per week.

Drago & Nalu Drago remembers it was this time last year Larmendyth disappeared however that was her grieving for Bellassar. She didn't return for some time and if she doesn't want to talk or involve him then there really very little he can do about it. He makes sure Kaevara is alright and asks her about what she knows about the primordial eggs. These eggs where found in the Temple of the Moon and would love to find more. He asks if she knows where they come from and maybe where to find more for Korak and Nalu. He asks Nalu if "sacrificing" just means death or maybe different things like bloodline? He stays at his tower and continues learning from Kaevara how to call Chicks Chicks. OOC: Chik Chik Whistle 2nd attempt Looking for a lead on where to find Primordial Eggs for Nalu & what "sacrificing" from the last downtime means. Is this straight life or death sacrificing or things about have power and importance. Like Memories, Bloodline, my voice e.c.t  " Though the matter in which these 'sacrifices' are received, and what rituals done greatly impacts their effectiveness. " Orithar Trisk With his body feeling better, he heads to Baruk-Azhik where the famous axe-wielding Dwerren warriors are known to hail from. Speaking with the king, for his service in his war Orithar asks that the king lets him train with a warrior who knows how the correctly wield a double-bladed Greataxe. As if he is going to win the weapons respect he will need to show the talent to be able to use it.  OOC: Using renown from the war to find a trainer who can teach Orithar how to use his axe, Fire and Ice. 

Nils Ullstein Location:   Halls of the Cohort Arcanum, Isle of Fabrica  Major Action: Nils continues to research the process used to free the sword from the primordial's crystal found in the Temple of Elil and begins to acquire the needed ingredients - blood, acid, holy water. He also tries to learn more about which primordial is sealed within.  Shou Location:   Somewhere near the Hall of the Cohort Arcanum, Isle of Fabrica - "Druid" Lifestyle  Major Action:  Shou leaves his burrow each day to seek Cedrych's aid in training in Stealth. (Attempt 2 - If Cedrych not availible will pay instructor).

Raven Tonks Rowan Major: does more research on the Shadow fey  Hen Major : level up to 5 Goes to visit with the Erlady Mispera, asking if she would be willing to treaty with The Sanctuary under Daugren. Discusses the same in Daugren, While getting lessons about how to change her shape at will, settling with a human Khinisi version of herself as her main look. she also looks into what kind of ooze she is, though she assumes she is a blood ooze based on circumstance. Hadrian Darkleaf Major: Marriage and Honeymoon They travel to the Sour vintage to perform the before wedding challenger ceremony. Hadrian also goes about asking about a chariot and appropriate attire for both himself and Demi, to include her veil, hopefully with the help of the Cohort. He wants to make sure every thing is ready so they can marry before the end of the season.  after the wedding the spend time in their new house, accepting gifts and decorating the house into a home.specifically, Setting up a room for Nara. they also spend a few days at the Sour Vintage, utilizing the fancy bedroom.;) Rendi Theocus Major: Learn arcana skill from Alvah. Minor: teach Soho Draconic week 1 Chikat Stonehaven Major: learn Midguardian week 2, if already learned Level to 5 Nerolia Major: level up to 2. Minor: sell the golden Scepter that was found in the troglodyte cave under the Great falls of Arkelon. OOC: I think Elee said it was worth 500GP but want to verify

Korak (Learning Athletics week 1) After nearly being ran down by that fire creature Korak looks into training himself to be able to run, climb, and lift heavier objects. He heads home to seek training from one of the powerful martial warriors of Baruk-Azhik and puts himself to the task. In his spare time he visists his sister Anra at their mothers grave and catches up with her, telling her what might seem like tall tails but are his adventures and asking her of how the war goes with Morrendeep.  (Minor Action: Visiting the Temple he Trained at and donating some time) Korak when his training has some free time will head over to the temple of Morradin that took him in when he was lost without cause. He sits with his mentor a priest of Morradin Named Glarrid Brewgrip and reminisces of old times when Korak could barely channel his gods powers and of the good old days when things were more simple without the threat of war and of Morrendeep.  Hedrin (Failed Handled in session and cost 10 renown) (Trying to get Curse removal from Daikhar Zhigun  22 Renown) The boy attempts to make his way to Diakhar Zigun getting lost for no reason, nearly boarding the wrong ships, and constantly falling flat on his face. Upon finally getting to Daikhar Zhigun he asks for an audience with their head priest and greets the man with the strange lisp he has gained from having a flower in his mouth. When walking up to the man he trips and falls flat on his face, pulls a cloth from the table and has a metal pot land on his head. When he is invited to sit down at the Priests study the leg on the chair snaps and sends the boy to the floor. Giving up and just standing up in the center of the room the boy explains the situation of trying a potion offered as a reward and gaining a curse from it. He asks if the man can attempt to remove this for him as it has made adventuring nearly impossible. 

Cordie Major: Levelling up to Sorcerer 4 Lyla Major: Levelling up to Sorcerer 2 Saorise Major: Learning sign language with Roza [Attempt 3]

Kazimir Zima Major Action:   Level up to level 5 Warlock (Also, he had previously taken Devil's Sight as an Eldritch Invocation, so needs his token modified to include 120' darkvision) Savas Al-Hadar Major Action: Feeling uncomfortable after the fight with Eirena, Savas spends his time focusing on helping Nasaadi start to learn to overcome her dyslexia using methods suggested by his previous research, also hoping the extra attention will help Nasaadi not feel so threatened by the new baby. Captain Roland Major Action:   Level up to level 5 Rogue.

Cedrych Brightbough Cedrych looted two books from the basement of the museum in Ber Dairas: A Black Book with the Elder Sign emblazoned on its cover A non-descript Blue Book Bronsun previously tried to identify the Black Book, and it nearly drove him mad. With that in mind, Cedrych tries to find someone willing to identify the other, heretofore non-madness inducing  Blue Book , that does not outwardly appear to be cult-related. Mostly interested to find out if it's magical, if it's something he can make use of personally (unlikely), and how much it would be worth. He'd probably approach Elisheva for this, possibly as he brings her her share of the gold from the Magian. In his spare time, he continues to teach Sylvan to Darvius if last week's attempt was unsuccessful. Kazimir Volkov TBD Salazar di Fioretti Continues to try and learn skitter from Yaara if last week's attempt was unsuccesful.

Glenn Sturgis Location: The Cohort Glenn will level up to Level 7. He will continue to work on his cookie recipe as well as provide healing to the underprivileged in the surrounding area.

Soho Jo Location:   Halls of the Cohort Arcanum, Isle of Fabrica  Major Action:  Soho shows up promptly each day for his instruction in Dragonic languages with Rendi. Week One. Salin Location:   Arcane Collegium Major Action:  Salin enters the vast facility.  He immediately looks for someone who can help him in his research of curing Ooze people.  Specifically he is looking to determine the type and strength of magic of an item or spell that would remove the condition. Rulenoff Major Action: Level up to 2

Sithric Sidhefriend Provided he has enough EXP, he will level up to 6th level as a fighter. Eirena Lightshadow Ashamed that she still hasn't been able to grasp Savas' Language, Eirena will pay for teacher that'd be willing to teach in night hours to learn Basarji. ( Week 3, she was at week 2 the last time she was in Binsada for downtime. Alvah Laurent If her previous downtime wasn't successful, she will continue learning Basarji with Theocus. ( Week 2 ) Otherwise, she will look to expand her language horizons with the next language, Brecht. Takumir Jachral Takumir will work in Berhagen in poor accomodations to earn some money. Galena Abanâthu Galena reflects on her past experiences and improves her magical affinity. (Levelling up to 7, taking 4th level in Bard)

Brognir Will return to his home in Khurin Azur and spend his time Smithing and trying to learn new techniques.  Phage Will be studying or talking to common folk about Thylea. She is trying to learn more about this new lands. (Looking to pick up some lore about the local area or Thylea itself.) She will also be teaching Zolis Thylean.

Zolis Location: Mytros, Thylea (Modest lifestyle) Major Action: Learn Thylean from Phage (Week 2) Minor Action: Return to Volkan to make good on his promise to remove the cursed Liar’s Folly now that the troglodytes have been cleared from the Mithrial Forge.

Darvius Darvius continues to study Sylvan. Week 2 .

Drago & Nalu Drago isn't able to figure out the whistling, nor is he able to dig up any information on these eggs. Orithar Trisk Orithar begins his training (marked off 5 renown, training can be continued later). Nils Ullstein =I believe this was handled in session. Shou Shou attempts to follow Cedrychs instructions, but hiding outside of the comfort of an earthen hole is disconcerting, and Shou has trouble keeping still when he feels so open and exposed. It will take more time to master this skill. Raven Tonks Rowan Raven doesn't get any new information this week. Hen Hen reflects on her experiences and continues practicing to push her oozy body to greater feats, levelling up. (Elee: Minor RP with Mispera) Hen opens up talks between the two groups. Though it will take time for anything to come out of it. Hadrian Darkleaf Hadrian finds himself incredibly busy making sure all the preparations are in order, but it is all worth it when the day finally comes. (handled in session). Friends, family and Cohort colleagues all chip in with congratulations, gifts and well-wishes. The remaining downtime is spent simply enjoying each others company and looking ahead to the next 60 years, the start of a new life together. Rendi Theocus Rendi's lessons are long and difficult, but the innate magic of his Pixie form seems to help, as concepts come more easily to him. He successfully gains proficiency in the Arcana skill. Chikat Stonehaven Chikat's lessons continue, though his teacher seems as easily distracted as ever and little progress is made unfortunately. Nerolia Nerolia works on her skills and levels up. (Elee: Selling an item) You can find a noble to sell it to for 500gp, though that's very much pushing the limits of what can be sold during downtime. Korak Korak hires one of the military drill instructors to train him when he isn't on active duty, however the exercises are gruelling and Korak finds himself repeatedly falling short of his instructor's expectations. Hedrin Handled in session Cordie Cordie levels up Lyla Lyla levels up Saorise Saorise tries to learn, but now that the trees are back in bloom her instructor's hands shake with some sort of madness, fear or rage, making it impossible to follow what he's trying to teach. Kazimir Zima Kazimir further develops the gifts he has been given, and finds darkness holds no power over his sight. Savas Al-Hadar (Elee: RP with Nasaadi) I think we went over this in light RP. Captain Roland Roland, free of the threat of the Mammoth Warrior, finds it much easier to train, and levels up. Soho Jo Soho attempts to pick up the language, though even with his draconic nature it ends up being more difficult to grasp than he might have thought. It will take more time to learn draconic. Salin (Elee: Researching ooze people at Arcane Collegium) Salin discovers some books talking about oozes, but nothing that mentions ooze people. In fact the books are very clear about how oozes are not intelligent at all, and hence don't make the best of guards.Generally they come from failed magical experiments, or projects. However there are some wizards who create them on purpose, or have studied them more thoroughly. Rulenoff Rulenoff trains hard to ensure he'll be ready for anything, levelling up. Sithric Sidhefriend Sithric levels up. Eirena Lightshadow Eirena successfully learns Basarji, through sheer determination. Alvah Laurent Alvah starts trying to learn Brecht, though this one proves to be a little more elusive to her, and she'll need more time to get the hang of it. Takumir Jachral Takumir will work in Berhagen in poor accomodations to earn some money. They don't have a lot of free time for teaching, though Brognir does notice that their hammering technique differs from his own. (Elee: Asking Volkan to have Liar's Folly removed) Volkan will remove Liar's Folly. Darvius Language already learned in Spring II.
