Dynamic Lighting and Sight and Dim Light Reveals and Advanced Fog of War

I have a human token with sight.  No light source.  I have unchecked Dim light Reveals.  If I walk him through the map, its like you expect. total darkness.  If I give him some light 40/20 i.e. torch or light.  He lights up.  I would expect the part of the map in bright light to remove advanced fog of war. but if I move the token away, the map is still covered in darkness.  Its not removing the fog of war.  So I edit the token settings and put in reveal distance of 20 ft. now its acting correctly. But, if I remove the the light source, the token is not in total darkness it is in dim light and if I move the token around the covered part of the map, it is uncovering the fog of war by 20 feet.  So not only is this human seeing dim light, not total darkness, its removing fog of war.  But it shouldn't be doing this according to the map settings. Funny thing is, I put a token with Darkvision.  Set all the boxes.  60/30, reveal 30 ft. of fog.  it all works correctly.

There is a difference between having Reveal distance blank, and having a zero in it. I think this might be what is going on. Having Fog of War on (as opposed to Advanced Fog of War) will also mess with automatic map revealing. But yes, bright light should be revealing the map, provided you have FoW: Off AFoW: On Reveal Distance: <blank> (NOT a zero, just delete the contents) Setting the Reveal Distance to zero will stop players from mapping anything at all, regardless of light settings.
I thought I did this but I will double check.  Thanks
