Help with auto-numbering tokens

I have read a few posts, and have seen a few vids on using the %%NUMBERED%% in the token's name field to auto number new tokens as new ones of the same kind are added to the table-top. but i for the life of me cannot get this to work. example: I have a token and an NPC for a Jr. Bandit. I have the name of the NPC = Jr. Bandit and the name of the token = Jr. Bandit %%NUMBERED%%. They are linked together and I am using the stats to run various bars and other macros and they all work correctly.  But when I go to add a token from the NPC list, the come out with the name Jr. Bandit %%NUMBERED%% rather than Jr. Bandit 1, 2, 3 etc. What am I doing wrong? TIA!
That requires a The Aaron script (like about half of the really useful tricks for roll20 :P ) <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1273423/script-tokennamenumber-automatic-numbering-of-qualifying-tokens" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1273423/script-tokennamenumber-automatic-numbering-of-qualifying-tokens</a>

Yes, you need the TokenNameNumber API script installed in your game.&nbsp;

When you do this, if you track a health/hit point stat, make sure you unassign it from the journal character sheet. I did not, and could not for the life of me figure out why 30 cultists all of a sudden died at the same time. Made combat quick and experience heavy for sure lol...
