Hello everyone, I'm planning to set up a Curse of Strahd game. Bought the module and currently reading up on it. Looks very nice. I would like to find 5-6 players that plan to show up consistently to play. As amazing as Roll20 is, player dropouts seem to be fairly frequent, unfortunately, at least in the games I have been in both as a player and GM. I will therefore go through more of a thorough interview process to ensure that players are invested in having a consistent, weekly game. So far I'm scheming to play on Sundays or Mondays. We might be able to find another day that is more suitable for everyone. Session zero and first session would be free, just to give players a chance to gauge the group and my DM style and find out whether they wish to commit. Better for me to cut my losses and have you leave the group quick if it isn't for you! Quick about me: I'm an experienced GM in 5e, with a penchant for horror-themed D&D campaigns and adventures. To quote GreatGMs youtube channel on the styles of GM, I would consider myself a Narrator / Actor type. The Actor is described as super vain and essentially using the players as an audience (lol) and I wouldn't say I'm -that- bad, but I'm working on being concise and brief in my descriptions. Definitely focusing more on story and characters than game mechanics and rules, and I roleplay each NPC, playing them according to their goals and personalities. With that said, I follow the rules pretty closely and only make up new rules when necessary. Here's the clip, great channel for DND btw: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CetYbY1_TaU Hope to hear from some interested players! Cheers. - Kim
