New to Eberron? No problem. Eberron's an official D&D 5E campaign setting. It adds to the 5E PHB rather than deviating from it. It adds a few new race options--changelings, shifters, warforged--and a few new class variants. As a theme, the world has a steampunk vibe, but one can create a 5E PHB character and fit right in. I was in an Eberron game as a player, and that's what I did. I liked the setting enough to buy the sourcebook and started hankering to run my own game in it. I've purchased the Eberron resource compendium on Roll20, and so all of the Eberron options are available and explained in the Roll20 CharacterMancer character builder in the game, and all of the Eberron player background is available in the game, too. Before joining, if one wanted to toy with some of the character options, they should also be available in the DnDbeyond.com character builder . If you want to know more about the setting--I did, and I loved it--here are some resources: DnDbeyond.com's official introduction: Welcome to Eberron!
