hex of 5 miles = 5 hours). During the 3 rd of 4
watches Willie and Prayn roll successful wisdom perception checks indicating
they hear a group of something approaching the camp site. It turns out to be
five wild boars. Xar’Tharkas yells out, “Grab
your weapons, beasts are coming!” Initiative rolls are made and

on watch and go the remainder of the 8 hours unhindered. In the morning after a meal of
wild boar the party heads off towards Old Owl Well, with Sildar guiding them on
where to go. 13 hours later they reach the site without encountering anything
on the rest of the trip. As
you crest a low ridge, you spy the crumbling ruins of an old watchtower
standing amid the rugged hills. The place is so old that the walls are only
mounds of rubble enclosing a courtyard of sorts, adjacent to the broken stump
of an old tower. A colorful tent has been set up in the middle of the
courtyard, but no one is in sight. Travok, heals up Prayn with the
Healing Word spell for 4 hit points before going into the site. As they move in, Willie and
Zar’Tharkas, both smell a deathly odor wafting from the direction of the ruined
tower. Xar’Tharkas says, “Smells like a
goblin’s kitchen over there he grunts…” Roqar, Willie and Xar’Tharkas,
move up ahead of the party stealthly, as successful rolls indicate. Roqar moves over to the well and
has a look down, Prayn comes over to cast a Light spell on the inner wall a bit
down the shaft to illuminate it. The water below now is visible and looks
clear. Prayn moves over to where the
tent is and stays out of sight of it’s entrance which has a piece of fabric as
an awning over it. Prayn, decides to poke a small
hole into the tent about 3 feet off the ground and have a peek inside. The occupant inside does not
notice this as he is occupied at a desk, just off to the side of where the peep
hole was made. Prayn, also notes there is a cot
and a large chest inside as well. The person in the chair at the desk appears
human, with sallow skin and a shaved scalp with a tattoo on his forhead, and
wearing a red robe. Prayn, moves back to the rest of
the party and tells them what he saw and that he will go into the tent to talk
to it’s occupant. Pryan then cast Speak with
Animals to speak to Skywise’s badger Hovac. He wanted him to watch into the
whole so that Havoc could warn the party if something goes wrong but the badger
is only 11 inches in height and the hole 3 feet off the ground, so it’s Roqar
that does this instead. Prayn walks into the tent, with
Willie outside at the ready. Hamun Kost says, “What is the
meaning of this? Who are you? At least you are not a darn orc!” Prayn says, “No, no I’m not.”,
while tightening his grip on his glaive. Then tries to cast a Charm spell upon
Hamun, who makes his save against the spell rolling a 20 wisdom save. After Hamun shakes off the
spell, he says, “I say, begon now! If you are her to trouble me, I’ll give you
to the of three to leave! ….1 ….2”. Xar’Tharkas’s Time Echo stands
at the back of the tent ready to stab through on the count of 3. Prayn, “Ok, ok, wait up”,
watching to see what happens next. Hamun says, “What have you to say for
yourself”? Prayn says, “ "I'll leave you alone, if you tell me what you're
doing here. I heard of someone causing trouble over here. You seem nice enough,
but I wanted to be sure. It's dangerous out here y'know?" Hamun Kost says, “ It is none of your business why I am here, I just
don't need any more trouble, the orcs are enough, they have been snooping
around the camp." Prayn says, “ Orcs? Well that's no good. How are they messing you
up?” Hamun
Kost says, “ They have been snooping around and simply seemed to be inclined
to cause me trouble.", "They seem to be coming from somewhere around
Wyvern Tor.", "Where are you from?" Prayn
says, “ "I can imagine. They tend to be a bit burdensome at times.
I actually believe I had a bounty for them as well. “, "I'm not from
around here. Truth be told, I'm a wanderer, searching for the secrets of the
world.", "My home abandoned me, or rather I did them, and I've been
on a journey ever since." Hamun Kost says, “A
bounty for them? good. Are you coming from Conyberry or elsewhere?" Prayn says, “I stopped by there once, yes. Nice ale and all,
grabbed a few bounties, but I've not much dedication to them. I've told my
story, would you do me the favor of telling yours?" Hamun Kost says, "Well, then if you happen to bump into
that Banshee of their's up there, I have a question to ask of her. I am simply
a wizard trying to farther my education through research, which currently
brings me to this location.”
Prayn says, “Oh? A banshee? Where? By Conyberry?”
