Under raging storm cloud, the vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind's howling increases as he turns his gaze down toward the village of Barovia. Far below, yet not beyond his keen eyesight, a party of adventurers has just entered his domain. Strahd's face forms the barest hint of a smile as his dark plan unfolds. He knew they were coming, and he knows why they came - all according to his plan. A lightning flash rips through the darkness, but Strahd is gone. Only the howling of the wind fills the midnight air. The master of Castle Ravenloft is having guests for dinner. And you are invited Welcome to Curse of Strahd, a dark and dangerous adventure in D&D 5e set in the terrifying Ravenloft setting. A place where life is cheap, and everything and everyone is under the thumb of a vampiric tyrant. Dread abounds and any light of hope is flickering at best. Be it willing or not, you have found yourselves within the domain of Strahd, and now you are being forced to survive. --- This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $5 per session via Paypal. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements. Now I know there are a lot of people who dislike the idea of paying for a game, and that's perfectly fine. However, I feel as though the experience I craft for this game will be worth both your time and money for various reasons: Experience and Expertise: Much like how artists should be paid what they are worth because of the time and practice that they've put into each piece, I have spent a good portion of my life honing my skills as a GM and learning from various experiences. I also bring with me thousands of hours of experience with Roll20 and it's many features. Teaching and Transparency: My goal when I run games is that people have a good time, to this end I want to be clear about my decisions and methods, I'm happy to answer questions as they come up and I will always be around to offer advice or work through something with my players. Safety and Support: My tables are safe, I do not tolerate intolerance against anyone for who they are as a person, and I offer safety tools to ensure that people are content and having fun without having to confront anything they are uncomfortable with. This is especially important with CoS, as it is a darker adventure and there's some uncomfortable situations that can be disturbing for people. Commitment and Challenge: I have been around the block when it comes to tabletop parties. Some people join and don't show up, sometimes groups don't click, sometimes real life just rips everything apart. The payment ensures that everyone has an investment to keep them committed, it's also supporting me so that I have the time to prep the sessions and keep going, and if the group clicks and wants to keep going, I'm happy to run more adventures or whatever else.
