Simply put, I have ben looking for ways on which to play RPG's online for decades. I tried tabletop simulator but I did not find they took it serious. I mean, they have a function whereby they can kick the table! My name is Harry and I live in Scotland. Since the age of 10 I first got my collection of AD&D books. I remember rolly an NPC gnome, who became bitter as he did not meet the requirements to join the clandestine Assassain's Guld. So it was a life of thievery for him, and his hulking ogre; Brad. Now many years on, Gengor has become something of a celebrity, even winning a bet that he could pick pocket the King. For decades I mapped the world of Xandria. Although the main continent is where the intrigue happens. At first my players were enamoured with 1st and 2nd edition AD&D. However, decades down the line, I tried to get then to try 3.5, followed by 5th edition I have almost all of the hardbooks, and I love the art and the rules. I am not accustomed to 5th rules yet, but I shall learn them, and then hopefully continue the geo-political machinations of all the countries. There's always something going on, and the adventures are never far from the trouble. I like to think that my players have free reign. To go where they want and to engage in whatever deeds they see fit. Afterall, East and West Tharfold are large countries, and there's always intrigue afoot. In my games, you will not necessary by coerced in an inn to take up a huge quest. Not saying that is wrong, but there may be other ways for them to engage in a grand adventure. That's if they even accept! They have so much on their plates, that grand adventuring may not always be on their forefront. Its a good job that over the years they have accunuated many foes. These themselves can be the trigger of a campaign wide adventure. Not only do I enjoy writing my own adventures, but I also have aplethara of pre-paid quests. These later witll test the most dedicated of you. So in short, I am delighted to find this role-playing site. Although in time I would love to run my homegrown, living world. As a newbie to the site, I think it best that I follow your lead and learn the shops. I am very excited. One thing though; I am in UK and don't know how much I can dedicate to time. Don't worry though, I am not an afk!
