black screen of death

My DM has put me on a new map that we are on and will not load. there is just a black loading screen in the middle. I can still see chat and turn order but not the map or characters at all. I've cleared browser cookies and cache, shutdown laptop and reloaded everything. i logged out of everything and still nothing changed until my DM put me on a different map.

When you say "loading screen" do you mean it still has loading text popping up there? Or it's just black?

Check if the GM is using the (currently in beta testing) Updated Dynamic Lighting (UDL) system on those pages. If they are, ask them to use the Legacy Dynamic Lighting (LDL) system instead (or no Dynamic Lighting at all) and see if you can get in then. UDL is still glitchy and this is a common problem that some users have.

Hi,&nbsp; I'm having similar issues which can be seen here:&nbsp; <a href="https://streamable.com/br16o3" rel="nofollow">https://streamable.com/br16o3</a> &nbsp;(everything loads but the map, which just shows as "Loading") I've left this loading for ages tried different browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) and different Roll20 accounts. The issue was affecting all maps in that campaign, even maps i had previously loaded. I could load maps in other campaigns with no issue.&nbsp; I asked my DM to try disabling UDL and to put LDL on for that map which has fixed the issue! I checked with other DMs and they had UDL switched on in their campaigns and i had no issue with them. Strange but i can play now so idc. Thanks Rabulias :)&nbsp;

It just has loading text and doesn’t change

Is there any chance you can try Rabulias' suggestion of switching lighting methods? Might narrow down the problem.
