Dynamic Lighting: The Sun

in a dungeon the current dynamic lighting functionality is very solid, but when it comes to a town it takes way too many light sources to make the town look like X time of day, and forget adjusting it. Why do I consider this important? Because shadows are an integral part to a stealth system, but when you are outside, it isn't possible to configure the town for sun shadows in a realistic timeframe. I hope this functionality will come in eventually. I would also like to reiterate the opacity functionality of shadows needs to be added as other threads have, but the sun option would be much preferred for me at this time. So far, great work! I hope you guys stick around forever!
I agree with this. Too often I've had to choose between adding countless light sources and just doing without vision blockers. A global light source the simulates the sun would be ideal. Since multiple light sources cast multiple "shadows" all the way across the map... i usually do without vision blockers. One trick I have had some success with is giveing players their own massive light source while in town, and not allowing other players to see it.
