[LFG][5e] New player looking to learn the ropes

I've wanted to play for years but have never been able to get a group together. I have the 5e player handbook and have read through a couple times, but that's the end of my experience. I watch multiple D&D podcasts so I'm familiar with how the game works. I need to learn how to roll up a new character and I'd like to play at least a couple sessions, although it would be nice if I find a long term group. Available 7 days a week for the next six weeks at least, MST (-7)
Hey Em, consider me to be in the exact same boat. I've barely dipped my toe into things, so I'm pretty much just as fresh as you. I'll be happy to play some sessions with you if we can find ourselves someone experienced enough to DM. I'm available most days, usually weekends EST (-5).
@Grand Yeah, if we can find someone to show us the way that'd be great!
Hello. I am running a weekly game, Friday nights starting at 10:00pm mountain time and lasting about 3 hours (sometimes more, but I try to wrap up after 3 hours). The game has been running since the end of March, but due to some turnover and scheduling issues, we've only had 3 PCs since late April, and now feels like a good time to round out the party. If that time works for you, I'd be happy to discuss further in direct messages. If not, then I hope you find something outstanding that does.

Hey, Em and Grand. I sent you both private messages about how I'm running teaching adventures for new players. If that's something you're interested in, add me to Discord and let's talk. Now these are just one-shots, but I'm taking a lot of time and really teaching you how to use Roll20 while learning to play D&D. They're not full campaigns. But they will help you learn enough so that you can play in a full campaign and feel comfortable that you know what you're doing enough to enjoy it. Let me know if you're interested.
