[5E] Darkness spells and mixed vision types

I only recently upgraded my account thanks to my players, but this is a soon to be upcoming concern as we're using the new dynamic lighting. While it's easy enough to toggle Night Vision on for everyone since they all have darkvision, one character happens to have echolocation up to 15'. I know I can just draw a circle around an area to create the darkess effect for everyone, but in the case of this one player, they should still have a sort of "true sight" for that 15' radius ad I've no idea how to make this work. Ideally it should only affect them and allow them to see what's going on, and not require an additional token. Any thoughts? is this just not possible? I know in the moment, I can just enable them with 15' low-light emissions, but if that's on all the time, they have a walking bubble of light that interferes with others view. (I wish I could make this light source toggle only for the token or those that control it.)
Instead of using the low-light emissions you could set the token up with 15 ft aura on the token (you can choose who sees the aura's of tokens)

Again, this is using the Updated Dynamic Lighting, and a plain aura on a token doesn't grant sight. I had the same thought in the Dynamic settings, but then that person radiates light for everyone and everyone can see even though they shouldn't have sight. I also tried just a 15' radius of lowlight which makes an interesting pocket of shade in peoples view if it's there and again, grants that sight to others and shouldn't.
