D&D Next Char Sheet Initiative marco

Why is the initiative taking 5 points away from the roll when using the button macro? I place a 2 in the Init Bonus and roll a 20 on the dice and it came back with 17 as my init. Shouldn't it be 22??? Thank you in advance for your help. Warren Huckaby
Looks like you don't have your dexterity ability score modifier filled in. It rolls d20 + (dex mod) + (init modifier), so if your dexterity is not filled out that would be a -5.

The macro is setup to be 1d20 + your dex mod + the intitiative bonus specified in the init bonus field It's likely you dont have your dexterity set correctly or possibly you have an old attribute for dexterity mod that matches the name of the new field on the sheet (dexterity_mod). If this is the case that old value will be used instead of a value being calculated from the dexterity value on the sheet. In general, the advice is if you are adding a character sheet to an existing campaign then you should probably remove all the old style attributes that were manually added to the attributes tab for your character.
Ok, Got this figured out. Thank you both for your help.
