The party fished-out a barrelcrab off Mushroom Islands, but stopped short of attempting to commandeer it for further use after Simplejack did a preliminary test drive of the contraption. Matthias befriended an otter, Robert, who told him the gnomes hadn't been seen around recently and warned them they were kind of odd. And oh yeah, also apparently practiced a vegan lifestyle, or at least some form of plant-based diet. Hard to say these days. More fish for Robert, though. Then, Matthias turned blue, apparently the result of wild magic and/or a close connection to the Feywild. After working out the kinks of the gnome's overly complex, highly unnecessary, and entirely silly intercom system, Travyn convinced the rock gnomes to open the front door. Once inside, they completed a One to Wundabar survey, carefully avoided Mad Facktore (for the moment at least), and met up with the Gnomengarde kitchen staff: Joybell, Dimble, Panana, Uppendown, and Tervaround. There, they learned about the two kings: King Korbuz and King Gnerkli. Apparently, neither had been acting quite oddly over the past few days and had quaranteened themselves in their royal chambers. The party was directed to Fibblestib and Dabbledop. But not before they lulled Mad Facktore to sleep with a somber tune and bypassed whirling blades of death. From Fibblestib and Dabbledop, the party learned about sanity rays and straightjackets. Then, from King Korbuz and King Gnerkli, they learned about a shapechanger that was loose in Gnomegarde. The party agreed to hunt the shapechanger, in exchange for magical aid against the dragon, and tracked their quarry to the wine cellar. There, a very animated and highly agitated wine barrel took exception to the party's indiscriminate and totally uncalled for pokey-pokey. PCs present: Bjorn, Cormac, Chiao, Matthias, Simplejack, Travyn Items gained: green mushrooms, red mushrooms, 20 silver arrows, 20 silver bolts, fuzzy dice, crabcake, bottle of blue mushroom wine
