[LFP][Heavy RP][CDT] Roleplayer sought for unconventional fantasy story

Hello! As much as I enjoy the group-focused stories that many standard fantasy campaigns are, I've been missing roleplays that are more focused on detailed individual characters with their own personal goals and motivations. So I'm (still!) looking for a creative and imaginative roleplayer who would like to participate in an individual character-driven story instead! This story will include the following: Primarily focused on roleplaying, not on combat or dice rolling or classes and things like that. It's like a main course of freeform RP with just a little side of "game" rather than the other way around Characters that feel like they're part of the world without necessarily having to be epic adventurers on a quest to rescue a dragon or defeat a princess or whatever Original, custom medieval fantasy setting that isn't too weird or bizarre compared to other settings but which does have some significant differences, so please no copy+pasted generic D&D characters from other settings because we won't just be picking options out of a book! Starting similar to a solo campaign where it focuses on your character's individual story elements and growth and development, but different characters can meet up and weave their stories together a bit if everyone involved wants to. Personal character story elements are always still important, though Discord for voice and text communication and Roll20 for maps and other stuff. I'm in CDT [GMT–5] and am available most afternoons and evenings, so if you have a flexible schedule or are available for roleplay more than once a week then that's a plus, though it's not a requirement If this sounds like something you might be interested in, please send me a message rather than a post with the following: What types of roleplay have you done before (anything besides D&D-style campaigns)? Are there any favorite or memorable RP moments that you don't mind sharing? What kind of characters do you usually like to roleplay? Do you like variety or is there more of a preferred "type" of character you often roleplay? And of course if you have any questions for me about anything, just let me know!
I'm assuming that between-session RP is both one-on-one and, as appropriate to the character, interactive with fellow players - both how are sessions handled? I have found in the past that I don't work well in games where player attendance is highly variable, for instance.
Hi! Between-sessions RP is actually more likely to be interaction between the different characters as they get a chance to discuss things that are going on with each of them, while the sessions themselves generally start out more as one-on-one as most characters generally start their journeys in separate places before finding opportunities to cross paths with others. By having each character have at least some individual story elements and personal goals, you should always have opportunities to roleplay and develop your character's narrative whether other roleplayers are able to show up at a given time or not. Having said that, I still look forward to any time different well-developed characters are able to work togther and do things as a group whenever possible, though! Hope that helps clarify things a bit, and if that doesn't sound like what you're interested in then that's totally understandable!
Hello! I was trying to send a PM, but for some reason it kept telling me I'm not authorized too? So I figured I'd post it here as well. I'm actually really new to DnD, but I've been doing 1 on 1, and group, written roleplays for over 5 years now. I've written well into the millions of words in this style, and would be happy to send you some examples. My only reserve when starting DnD was actually what you mentioned in your post, that games tend to turn more battle than roleplay centric, so hearing someone else who loves the interaction side of things is amazing to hear. I have a pretty diverse set of characters, but generally they tend to not be very DnD heavy, since, well, I'm not super used to DnD. My second character ever- and my current character I was hoping to apply with- made for DnD is actually a homebrew race for that reason.
spoken in pm's i would like to join!
