Ranger - Human - Coal Blackburn & Cleric – Human Female - Sheila - Shadowfax (Steve)        Game Summary for Sunday Evening (06/28/2020):   Opening Scene: It is now 30 days into the adventure (since setting off in the Belle Venture), and August 24th, 8:15 on day 26 on the isle.   The party leaves the alchemical laboratory and went to one of the building that are off limits to the general public.   Maevis walks around the building and sees that there are no windows on the first floor and only one set of double doors on the building’s western side. It appears to be of a more solid construction compared to other buildings. It is noted that there are 2 sections of second story and those have several windows.   Seeing that no one is around Grax tries to pick the lock on the double doors  and rolls a 49% needing ≤ 52%. The lock clicks open but when he tries to open a door, it will not budge.   So now the party moves to another ‘off limits’ building and it’s a large one, basically in the shape of the letter E.  Grax, tries to pick open a south east door, rolling a 44% and needing ≤ 52%. So Grax picks open the lock!   The adventurers see all sorts of biological and alchemical equipment on several tables in the south wing of the building. Turning the corner and heading north they see that there are several huge vats at least 3 feet high and 8.5 feet round.   Looking for notes or books, the party finds a few, all of which detail the various Yuan-Ti anatomies. Some of the works looks like details on how to construct the creatures.   Grax says, “So these damn things are made by experiments, not by regular means.”   As the party makes their way into the center portion of the building, they spot a strange looking creature near the front doors. It is cigar-shaped with a gaping maw, around 5 feet in height and about 2 feet wide with 6 tentacles, resembling a statue of a roper creature.   It slowly moves towards the party at a 10 feet per round pace. Some of the party members decide to distract it as Grax makes an attempt to pick open the lock on another door, which takes him 8 minutes to do so, rolling a 2% needing ≤ 52%.   When the Storoper gets dangerously close to Grax, Xilicien, fires off 4 magic missiles at the creature doing A total of 14 points of damage! The Storoper now heads after Xilicien instead, and Grax is able to finish picking open the lock. Opening the door shows it goes back outside.   Grax tries opening a different door on the opposite wall and rolling a 24% needing ≤ 52%, successfully opens the door in 1d10=2 minutes! It also opens to the outside.   The Storoper meanwhile has chased the rest of the party back outside.
