A group of 4 players looking for a DM to run Out of the Abyss for us on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm (PST) We are a group of friends who grew up in the same town and are now spread out across the country and we have been using D&D as a way to hang out. We are just coming off of a campaign and looking forward to starting the next one. We are hoping to find a GM that can balance an engaging epic story while giving the players the freedom to have some lighthearted fun with it. We are looking for a DM that has a solid knowledge of Roll20 and its features. We have for the most part picked our races and classes and started work on our backstories, though at this point they are still subject to change. Right now we are looking at a Tortle Circle of the Spores Druid, a Gnome Artillerist Artificer, a Tabaxi Swashbuckler Rogue, and a Human War Cleric/Wizard. We would need a DM that either has the sourcebooks for these or at least can help us create these classes where the sourcebook isn’t available. We know DMing is a lot of time and work, and we are all willing to pay you for your time on a per player/per session rate.
Hail and well met, My name is Francisco and I saw your post looking for a DM for hire. I also saw what you are looking for, and I would say I fit those qualifications. I have been running games on here both One-shots and long-term campaigns for the last 7 years. I own the source books for all the classes and races that you are looking to play as through Out of the Abyss. I am very flexible with my DMing style often adapting what the players want and do and weaving it into the greater narrative. I will leave a link to my website so that you can check it out but I would like to be able to talk and see if I am the right kind of DM for your group. Hope to hear from you soon, and have a great week. https://dndoldmanoldman.weebly.com/
Hey man, I sent you a PM! I'm Shouray, and honestly I feel like it'd be great to play with you guys. I own all the sourcebooks for D&D 5e, and your character's seem really fun archetypes that seem like they'll be really fun to play. I've been playing for 6 years at this point and I have a very strong understanding of Roll20 and all of it's features. A few things that I include in my sessions are: A fun, friendly table where the main goal is to have fun. Dynamic Lighting maps and the module that you want to play The ability to improvise when you go off script and completely change what the module entails so that the story seems dynamic and fluid Curated playlists that change depending on the mood of the session(Including Syrinscape!) The ability to import in the classes and races that you have picked, along with spells and other abilities Out of game, text-based sidequests whenever you're all free if that's what you require Animated Battlemaps(Like this one: https://youtu.be/lo7-cAuGFVI?list=PLuip1-Xv8uKI-fnls0HVKwgZ-Erfw9-W0) The ability to homebrew and giving you all a chance to shine. Token-based macros to make your life ALOT easier I hope you'll consider me for your group! Very excited to play with you all if you choose me :)
