Slots have been filled for the next game. You may still express interest and contact me for future runs of the one-shot. Same times as below apply. Background Seven years ago, you signed a deal with a mysterious wealthy benefactor to either kick-start or revive your career by providing money, equipment or just a few careful introductions. In return, all you needed to do was agree to perform seven shows for them over seven days, in seven years' time. A minor commitment, surely? What is this adventure? There’s something wonderfully attractive about bards, and not just because they max out their CHA scores, either. In a world of wizards and warriors they’re walking oddities; laughing tricksters able to slot into the role of emergency healer, front-line fighter or magical support with ease. They have a reputation - earned or not - of being troublemakers whose mouth gets the heroes into trouble as much as it saves the day. In short, bards are fun. So what, then, would an adventuring party made up of nothing but bards look like? What kind of adventure would they go on? Like A Bard Outta Hell is one such adventure! Looking for Players! I am looking for 3-6 players for Like A Bard Outta Hell , a Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition all-bard one-shot from Winghorn Press. I have personally played an early version of this at a TTRPG convention a couple of years ago when it was still under development and I was frankly hooked. The moment it was finalised, I jumped at the chance to run it myself for my debut as a Dungeon Master. Whether you have played D&D 5e before or not, you are welcome to join. If you have experience playing or running games of your own, I would appreciate your feedback, so long as it is constructive. I know you are all playing bards, but please save the rude remarks and witticisms for in-character jabs at NPCs. At the end of the day, this is all about everyone, DM and players, having fun. The time and place for the adventure will be decided upon enough players joining to run it. Due to work commitments and other games I am playing in, I will be available on Monday through Wednesday at 7:00PM BST and on both Saturday and Sunday at 9:00AM and 1:00PM BST . The game is meant to run for 4 hours, though if we need to continue on another day, we can schedule it on the next available day that is convenient for the players. The Rules I have created a Google Doc with the character creation rules for the game, which can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NbCF4D2LfBoFUWetGs8eDr7wdDZ573_La_dmW2nIT24/edit?usp=sharing A few more things to note: This game is intended for mature audiences. While there won't be anything super explicit, bards will be bards, and insults will either cut deep or be rather raunchy. I would thus prefer players to be 18 or older. This game is more roleplay focused and less combat focused. While there will be combat, you will be required to think outside the box and try to outsmart a situation rather than tackle it head-on. You are all bards, after all, and the game has been designed with that in mind. You will be asked to elaborate on your backstory and actually voice your Vicious Mockery, Cutting Words, Tasha's Hideous Laughter and other Bard spells and abilities like those. This is mostly for roleplay and adding flavour to your character. I recommend having a sharp wit or a list of quotes prepared. Puns are welcome and somewhat encouraged. Contact Information If you are interested, please reply to this topic and I will contact you with my Discord information.
