Campaign Journal - Day #4 - July 2, 2020

Garrison d'Kundarak reached out to me for some more work. I've been spending some time deep in the forge, just blending in getting my work done. He probably didn't even notice me back there. I've always liked Garrison, always loves to tell a story, he's a good man to have a beer with. Alison was there too, although she's in charge in Sharn, she's a little too serious, but a capable woman.   Looks like House Kundarak got wrapped up in some trouble that it wants to make sure doesn't become violent. The House was hired to House Cannith to secure a facility in the cogs. Kundarak also agreed to serve as security for their facility, although they were hesitant to step on Deneith's toes. There was some sort accident, or attack, and Cannith sold the facility to an unknown buyer. The result was the termination of all Warforged employees without warning.   House Kundarak does not really know what happened, but does not want the angry warforged to cause violence or, more importantly, does not want it to track back to House Kundarak.   We arrived at the protest, and found two separate groups. The Warforged are protesting their right to work, while a group of human rabble are protesting against the Shifters, and the Warforged, telling them to go home. We knew violence was brewing, and all of us did our best to end the violence quickly, but sadly, it didn't turn out that way. The actions and words of these humans quickly dissuaded me from trying to help them. Then, one of them decided to try to cut me open. I knew then, these people did not deserve to live any longer. Their humans anyway, they have short lives. It was a quick battle, ended in seconds by the wizard. Maybe I should look at what it might take to cast spells like wizard.   After a brief interrogation, we found out the humans were legitimately upset, even if they were uncertain as to the cause. They claim that bodies are being taken and eaten by Shifters. Track down the story behind the missing bodies from the City of the Dead. The group leader claimed a guy named Tom from the Calistan district who started the rumours. We also learned of the Warforged, hired by and working for Cannith, that were laid off and not paid for their work   A Half-Ogre named Troruk, Gara's brother, was appeased after we swiftly defeated him and managed to turn him around. He did inform us that Vilroy was shuttled out of town after shutting down the safe house. She was sent back to Droaam, somewhere.   We found the former cannith factory that was sold, but it was fully locked down. Quickly connecting with House Kundarak to get an arcane key and returning to the facility. It was easy to disable the ward, but inside, we discovered undead. A fight seemed imminent, but ended up unnecessary, the zombie (Clint) and skeleton (Bill) were quite friendly and just working. We suspect these might be the dead that went missing from the City of the Dead, but we need to be sure.   We tried to meet with the Foreman, only to find an Ogre Zombie, who did not look too happy to see us...
Kodiak's Journal part 4,  We stayed another night at the halfling house.  Boy those guys can cook.  They even gave me a bag full of food to take with me. We went with Thornduk to house Kandarak to look for work.  They asked us to put a lid on a protest by Warforged.  It had to do with a contract they had to guard a factory or something.  I'm not too clear on the details.  Took another sky coach down to near the shifter part of town.  We saw the warforged and talked to Steam.  It appears that they were kicked out of a job without being paid.  I sympathize.  There was also a group of humans harassing the shifters in the market.  That made me angry but I was able to hold my temper.  I interposed (nice long word there) myself between the humans and the warforged.  One of the humans tried to start something by throwing a tomato at the warforged.  I blocked it with my shield.  No telling what would have happened if I hadn't.  The human were yelling about how shifters were eating humans.  So stupid.  They attacked and we quickly wounded them or scared them off.  .Many would have died but Sonn saved them.  I say that if they are stupid enough to attack us and a band of warforged, they deserve to die.  Gara's brother then attacked us. The group took him out before I had a chance to fight him  I have to find a way to get faster.  I'm missing out on all the good fights. We didn't learn much from the guys we took for questioning.  They took Vilroy out of town.  I'm not sure if we can find her.  Also, bodies are disappearing from the cemetery.  Who'd want to eat dead rotting bodies.  We went to the Cog Circus to find out where the factory was.  We got the address but it was locked so we had to go up to Kandarak for a key.  I almost forget, Ssedriss tried drinking the stuff they serve at the Cog Circus.  He totally puked.  :Lightning  came out.  Gotta stand behind the guy when he drinks.   We open up the factory and find a bunch of zombies and skeletons working on the factory floor.  That's probably why the warforged were fired and why bodies have been disappearing.  We found the manager's office and a huge zombie ogre was in there.   It's time to fight again.  Spoooon!!!!!!
Pilgrimage report July 2 2020 My friends and I have taken up working for house kundarak in Sharn. I am ot sure how I feel about this. I don’t want to become a house enforcer but my friend wat this so I will play along. We stopped a group of racists from sparking a street fight with some warforged. Pretty good work all things considered, but I am confident we are being watched. We are being followed by this halfling and he is one slippery guy. Anyway to make matters worse Gnippity has gotten all jumpy and I can’t tell why. I have tried to press him, but he isn’t talking. I trust him to have faith in us. Or rather I hope he does. Anyway we are continuing our adventures. In a letter I received from you I heard that Wwredd is preparing for the trials. He’s gonna do great. Tell the whole clan I said hi.  I will share more in a coming report.
