[LFP][D&D 5E][Friday EDT/EST] Looking for experienced players for a homebrew campaign!

My name is Roberto and welcome to the campaign “The aspects of the Soul”. This will be a long-term campaign for the D&D 5E system, developed in a highly advanced arcane society, where heavy-roleplay and deep development for each character’s stories is the focus of the campaign. I’ve been enjoying role-playing games for more than 15 years and started my own homebrew stories about 6 years ago. I love deep character backstories, homebrew content and mixing things with the WoTC material, but I specially love is creating my own stories. This campaign works as a Sandbox setting, which I would use to develop your own character backstory so it works in close relation to the universe I’ve created, in that way, giving more flavor and personality to the narrative with our mutual collaboration.   This setting is for “mature audiences”, not only in the typical sense of “combat violence and gory content”, but in the way that “your choices shape your world”. Each action bears weight to how the world is shaped, the way you act and each decision you make affects the way the story develops, and the NPCs react you each player’s choices. Therefore, we are searching for more experienced players to join us, so they can invest themselves into the roleplaying part and don’t focus as much in the game rules or only the combat mechanics of the game   We will be playing Fridays 4-5 PM Central Time and we require 4 more players. This is LGBTQ+ friendly environment, no sexual violence/assault will be allowed to the players and/or used by the DM in his narrative and no bigotry will be tolerated. If you wish to apply for our game, please use the post bellow to share a little about yourself, how should we address to you, what kind of experience you have with roleplaying games, if there is anything in particular we should keep in mind about you and of course, what kind of character you would like to play with. Keep in mind, the game will be more focused in roleplaying, combat is optional and depending on the character’s choices.   I hope we can all enjoy this story together!

Hi my name is Jacob age 24 im a heavy roleplay focused gm with a worldbuilding and lore obsession I'm hoping to be able to play for a change I don't gm dnd but I have a good idea of the rules id be willing to play just about anything to fit the world and party.
Hello hello! My name is Trevor. In a similar boat to Jacob here. I've been a dedicated DM for about 10 years. I deeply love 5e, but I rarely get to be a player. In my spare time I am a fantasy novelist. I have both a bachelor's and an MFA in fiction writing, as well as an encyclopedic knowledge of 5e, so if you're looking for roleplay and dedication, I'm your guy!
Hi, my name is Nick. How would you like another long-time GM as a player? Haha. I am 38 year old male (he./him) and have been playing seriously since college. I have played a few successful online 5e games as a player, but historically I have been a GM. This game sounds like a great fit because I am looking for something that focuses on characters and themes and that really requires a mature group who is interested in that kind of roleplaying and not just hack and slash (although I do also enjoy combat).  I have a few character ideas in mind, but generally I like playing characters with a strong premise that helps shape how i react to the situations presented to me. One idea is a character who was experimented on by Deurgar and bonded with the essence of a horror from the underdark (Aboleth if those are in your game). The alterations gave her abilities but also the need to feed on fear (think an emotions vampire). While she remembers only fragments of her past, she seeks to regain her humanity and cure her affliction. She is still good at her core and because of her need to feed on fear, she seeks out corrupt individuals for her to hunt without terrorizing the innocent. Another idea is a dwarf spore druid. A character who society sees as a old cook that's constantly covered in filth and is just as quick to start a conversation with a tree as a person. While seen as crazy by most, he is in fact very wise and is very pragmatic, concerned with the well-being of nature and fights unnatural corruption above all else. (think a hermit yoda type of character). He is covered in a thick layer of fungus, his beard his home to more than a few creatures, and he carries a staff that is more like a living tree filled with life. He is basically a walking ecosystem.
Hi my name is John (He/Him) and I am 29 years old. I first started listening to D&D podcasts about 3 years ago and it inspired me to want to play. I'm an engineer so I was excited for a game that combines problem solving, and fantasy. I have done a few one-shots with 5e and I tried the Hero System with friends, and am currently building my own homebrew for 5e. I find this to be a great outlet for being creative during shelter in place. I don't mind playing any character role, but I am a recent fan of the Tiefling-sorcerer build, because I love having a Charisma build to use in the world. I work a 9/80 so my Friday is either a day off or I am done with work at 3:30 PDT, but the overlap shouldn't be an issue for me except for the occasional emails. Other than that, it would be fun to expand my role-playing with others more experienced than myself so i can improve my sessions with my close friends.
Hi Roberto! This looks like an awesome campaign. I would love to considered to join! I sent you a PM, please let me know if you think I would be a good fit. ~Laura
Heya! My name is Ryan (he/him) and I've been playing 5e for about 4 years now, but finding games outside of my irl friend group is kind of difficult. I've been wanting to play a wizard for the longest time, but modules don't really feel like a good place to really build up on the character concept I have been thinking about. Of course, learning more about the world might change my PC choices, but the base concept is a wizard who wants to work and develop new spells outside of the normal domains of magic, and sort of change what the old traditions have made magical law.
