The party's efforts to track the Cult of the Dragon’s treasure led them across Faerûn to Skyreach Castle , a floating castle made of ice and commanded by a cloud giant named Blagothkus . They managed to ally with him and defeat the cult and its allies aboard the castle; among them were a red wizard of Thay named Azbara Jos , the half-dragon wyrmspeaker Rezmir the Black , and the white dragon Glazhael the Cloudchaser . Though a second red wizard of Thay named Rath Modar managed to escape, he left behind many important letters and a book which no-one was able to read. They returned to Waterdeep on their flying mounts triumphantly while Blagothkus took his castle north. Temerity disappeared while on the castle, and no one has seen or heard from her since. Upon their arrival to Waterdeep, everyone felt a strange disturbance rumble through their soul. Nothing was heard, but it was felt it all the same. This occurred repeatedly throughout the day, every day, up to and including present day. The group met with the Half-Elf Leosin Erlanthar of the Harpers and got caught up on current events in Waterdeep, including the murder of Remi Haventree’s husband and an upcoming gathering of faction representatives from all over Faerûn. They turned over Rath Modar’s papers and book to Leosin, then over the next few days met with their individual faction leaders and were all promoted. Downtime: Naivara met with Remi Haventree, translated and copied a book, and researched several diverse topics. She prepared to be called to the palace by Remi. Titus met with Ontharr Frume, learned some of his sister's history, did some item shopping, and spent the rest of his downtime working to learn Celestial. He realized that to continue learning Celestial while traveling he would need a book, and that lead him to Flower Garden Books. Halle met with Lady Laeral Silverhand, became the owner of a large mansion, caught up on his brother’s failures, did some pit fighting, and spent the remainder of his downtime searching for magic items and making new contacts. Varis and Rhogar met with The Xanathar, paid their fees to him, noticed a dragonborn woman scrutinize each of them with familiarity, and spent the rest of your downtime learning new things. At game start it is 24 Marpenoff in the Year of the Warrior Princess, 1489 DR.
